Calvin Harris Fine After Taylor Swift Split, ‘Not Surprised’ About ‘Hiddleswift’ Breakup

Calvin Harris is attempting to make peace Taylor Swift amid their nasty split. It looks like the Scottish DJ is trying to make amends with the songbird. He also has a lot of thoughts about her split with Tom Hiddleston, along with their breakup back in June.

Calvin Harris, 32, is doing well after his split with the pop star. An alleged inside source spoke with E! News on the current status of Harris’ dating life and he’s apparently thrilled to be single after their highly-publicized split.

“[Calvin] Adam is single,” the insider said. “He is dating a few different women. Nothing has stuck. He is not looking for a relationship at all, just fun times with friends. Adam is in a much better place after the breakup with Taylor.”

The alleged confidant of Harris went on to explain that while fans were shocked to learn about the end of Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift’s relationship, Harris was “not surprised” to find out that they ended their three-month romance, as cited by Celebuzz.

“Adam is not surprised that the relationship did not work with Tom and Taylor,” the source added. “He is just happy to not be in the relationship anymore and realized they were not a good fit in the end, but he wishes her the best!”

Harris may have even declared peace with Swift on social media. It seemed like Harris has been over Swift, according to the Elite Daily. Swift posted a video of herself singing along to his song “This Is What You Came For” featuring Rihanna, which Harris confirmed on Twitter she co-wrote, at the Tommy x Gigi fashion show at New York Fashion Week. Instead of negatively reacting to the video, he simply “liked” it on Instagram.

That’s how it ended. For now. Until Harris dropped his new song “My Way” on Friday, Sept. 16, which has everyone wondering if he wrote the song about Swift.

Swift and Harris haven’t had the picture-perfect split that they attempted to have. Once the news about their split broke back in June, Harris took to Twitter to post, “The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect,” which Swift backed up by retweeting it. Then, things got ugly when Swift moved on quickly with Hiddleston just two weeks later. Harris then deleted the tweet, along with everything else about them on social media.

Harris retaliated by unfollowing Swift on Instagram and deleting all of their photos together. He even made Instagram comments about her controlling the narrative of their split through the media, and even addressed Swift’s relationship with Hiddleston and her feud with Katy Perry on Twitter.

“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do. I know you’re off on tour and you need someone new to try to bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

He also sat down for an interview with GQ magazine, in which he addressed how their split got so ugly.

“It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly… The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicized than the relationship itself.”

Then, Harris took the final blow last month at the VMAs when he did not mention Swift in his acceptance speech when he won Best Male Video for “This Is What You Came For.”

Harris, on the other hand, has been linked to his share of beautiful women, including a mystery brunette woman in Cabo San Lucas, R&B singer Tinashe, and Mexican actress and singer Eiza González. Both Tinashe and Eiza have denied the dating rumors.
