According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fifty Shades Darker is set to hit theaters for fans to enjoy in February of next year – right around Valentine’s Day.

The trailer of this James Foley-directed sequel starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson is accompanied by the song “Crazy in Love” by Beyoncé. The trailer of Fifty Shades Darker opens by highlighting the romance between Christian (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia (Dakota Johnson). After a quick highlight of the romance, it transitions to a number of more thrilling aspects fans cannot wait to see.

The trailer also teases fans with a preview of Ana and Christian wearing masquerade masks which were a hallmark in the previous previews of the first movie. The masquerade masks were even in the 19-second teaser of Fifty Shades Darker that was released on Monday.

While the relationship between Christian and Ana came to an obvious and abrupt end at the end of Fifty Shades of Grey, the trailer of the sequel suggests the two may just be able to work out their differences and give it another try. Christian appears to make an effort to win back Ana. Ana tells Christian she is willing to give a real relationship a real try, but she does not want to have any rules or punishments this time.

The romance with Ana and Christian does not appear as if it is going to be happily ever after based on the Fifty Shades Darker trailer when Ana starts being haunted by a number of Christian’s exes. In the trailer, one of his exes asks Ana if she really thinks she was the first woman to ever attempt to save Christian from himself and his lack of interest in a committed relationship.

On just the Fifty Shades of Grey Facebook fan page, the Fifty Shades Darker trailer was viewed 2.5 million times during the first hour of its release.

Fifty Shades of Grey and Fifty Shades Darker are two films based on the E.L. James’ hit literary series. For fans of the series who have read the books, it is normal to wonder whether or not there will be a third and final installment of the series. Fortunately, PEOPLE reveals the third and final installment – Fifty Shades Freed is setup to be released in February of 2018.

Fifty Shades of Grey had a production budget of $40 million. At the global box office, the first installment of this series was able to make $571 million. These numbers made it one of the most profitable films in the year 2015. Will Fifty Shades Darker follow in the shoes of the first installment and be one of the most profitable films of 2017?
