Bills Vs. Jets Live Stream: How To Watch Online, Start Time, NFL Odds, And Preview

The Week 2 portion of the 2016 NFL schedule kicks off with Thursday Night Football. The Bills vs. Jets live stream and televised matchup will be under the spotlight as fans watch to see which of these AFC division rivals can get their first victory. Both Buffalo and New York faltered in their Week 1 games, but now they have a chance at early redemption. One of these teams will leave 1-1, while the other drops to 0-2 and to the bottom of the division.

For their opening game of the season, Buffalo was bested 13-7 by the Baltimore Ravens. The Baltimore defense was absolutely stifling, as they held quarterback Tyrod Taylor to just 111 yards passing, and the Bills could only muster 65 total yards on the ground. The lone touchdown came from LeSean McCoy, who led the team with 58 yards rushing on 16 carries.

According to CBS Sports, following the loss, Bills head coach Rex Ryan praised the opponents for keeping his team to just 160 yards of offense.

“It’s a pretty darn good defense over there. I’m probably one of the only coaches that’ll give credit to the opponent because they deserve it. That defense played extremely well. They’re well coached and they got after us.”

The Jets fell in a close contest at home against the Cincinnati Bengals, 23-22, to start their season at 0-1. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was a bright spot, throwing for 189 yards and two touchdowns. He was also intercepted once and sacked once. His running back Matt Forte had a near 100-yard game, achieving 96 yards on the ground with 22 carries. The team lost on a 47-yard field goal by Bengals kicker Matt Nugent, showing promise for their future.

Fitzpatrick talked about the tough loss, summing it up rather simply after the game.

“We had our opportunities. We were winning in the fourth quarter and we just couldn’t shut the door.”

Tonight, the two AFC East rivals will face off for the first time this season. Ryan is the former coach of the Jets team and will try to hand his old team the road loss. However, based on how New York played in their opener against a playoff contender like the Bengals, they seem to have the edge.

The point spread ahead of this game opened with Buffalo as at least two-point favorites to win at home. However, the line has since moved towards the visiting Jets and many sports books were listing this game as a pick situation. The over/under points total has been around 40 points or so at most sports books.

As ESPN reported Thursday, there’s an interesting revenge factor that may play into tonight’s game for the New York Jets. Last season, they suffered a loss against Buffalo which took away their chances at a playoff appearance. They can avenge that tonight with a win at New Era Field.

Cornerback Darrelle Revis commented on that aspect of the game.

“We have a bad taste in our mouth from last year, and I’m sure that will carry over into this game.”

A loss by either team tonight will be potentially devastating towards their season success. New York has a tough schedule on the way, so a 0-2 start could make their chances at a successful season even harder.

After tonight’s road game, they’ll visit the Chiefs before hosting the Seahawks. From there, they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals. Then they get to return home, but they host the Baltimore Ravens. That’s a plethora of playoff-worthy teams for the Jets to try to defeat.

Buffalo could potentially stay around the .500 mark with a win tonight. Their next three games will be a home game against Arizona, followed by visits to play the Patriots and Rams. This could be a relatively competitive game if Rex Ryan and Buffalo can find their offense against this Jets squad tonight.

The game will be televised by CBS and its affiliate stations beginning at approximately 8:25 p.m. Eastern Time. According to CNBC, the Jets vs. Bills live stream is available for free from Twitter. It will be the first 2016 NFL game offered live streaming online via Twitter’s mobile app or website. Twitter will be streaming tonight’s game as part of a deal it signed back in April for 10 Thursday Night Football games.

A new Twitter app is also available to install for select streaming media devices. These include the Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and the Microsoft Xbox One to watch tonight’s game. With these apps, viewers can watch NFL live online games for at least 10 Thursdays of the 2016 season.
