New ‘X Factor’ Hosts: Khloe Kardashian And Mario Lopez To Sign Contracts

Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez are set to become the new X Factor hosts.

Cowell has been hoping to land a Kardashian and it looks like he got his wish.

Cowell said:

“We’ve screen tested a lot of people. I know who I would like, but now I’ve got to get it approved by the network… it could be a Kardashian. We’ve gotta find people who’ve got a great chemistry, but Khloe is definitely up there in the running.”

According to TMZ, Kardashian is more than just “in the running.” The gossip site reports that Khloe and Mario Lopez have reached a deal with Fox. The network is currently working on the final details and an official announcement is expected to come later this week.

A source told CNN: “Those two want to do it, and the show is keen to have them.”

The X Factor will start broadcasting its live shows on November 1st. Kardashian and Lopez are expected to take the stage during this season’s first live show.

The hit show has been spending a lot of money on talent this year. Brittany Spears is reportedly getting around $15 million to be one of the show’s judges. It’s unclear how much Lopez and Kardashian will make as the new X Factor hosts but TMZ writes that it will add millions to the budget.

Steve Jones hosted the show last year but was let go, along with Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, before the start of this season.
