After a miserable start in the Premier League, Southampton finally won their first game of this season against Sparta Prague. Charlie Austin had a great game for the Saints as the striker scored a brace in the first half.

The striker converted a controversial penalty in the fifth minute before adding another goal just around the half hour mark. Jay Rodriguez added a late third in injury time to provide Southampton a much need victory.

On their performance, manager Puel said the following.

“It was a great performance. We played a very good team of technical players. It was difficult but the penalty at the start of the game helped us on to good things.”

In their last Premier League game, Southampton was left heartbroken in the Emirates as Arsenal scored an injury winner through a controversial penalty. The defeat was very harsh on the Saints who deserved at least a point from that game.

Meanwhile, Southampton duo Sofiane Boufal and Jeremy Pied will be unavailable against Swanswa as they are currently nursing their respective knee injuries.

Southampton Vs. Swansea : Prediction

Southampton is playing well below its best in recent PL matches. They have been unable to keep a clean sheet in last four league games. Swansea is not very different in this aspect either as it has conceded in all of the games this season.

However, Swansea excels the Saints in goal scoring department having scored six goals in the PL, doubling the tally of Southampton. So we give edge to Swansea to win this game.

Final Predicted Score: Southampton 1-2 Swansea
