Jonah Hill Publicly Shamed By ‘Local Weather Girl’ Ornella Fleury

Jonah Hill recently found himself subjected to a particularly brutal roasting, courtesy of Le Grand Journal‘s Ornella Fleury and her sharp wit. An interview between Hill and Fleury quickly went south when the host took the opportunity to get some laughs at The Wolf of Wall Street actor’s expense. It was clear from Jonah’s reaction that he wasn’t interested in playing along, but Ms. Fleury continued to insult her guest, bringing a quick end to Jonah’s appearance on the show.

Jonah Hill Laughs Last, Following Awkward Le Grand Journal Interview

Under most circumstances, Jonah Hill enjoys a good joke, but the actor lost his sense of humor, when Fleury used his appearance on her show to show off her own questionable sense of humor, reported US Weekly. Fleury launched her barrage of insults by dredging up the memory of a scene from This Is the End, in which Hill’s character is sodomized by a demon, telling Jonah that he was her ideal man because of that shot.

“And you? I hear you get sodomized pretty often,” Hill fired back.

Jonah had come to the show to promote his new film, War Dogs, so it isn’t surprising that the actor was caught off guard by Le Grand Journal‘s host. In spite of Hill’s reaction and the sudden awkwardness of the interview, Fleury pressed forward with her humor.

“Anyway, that’s why I have a sexual fantasy with you, Jonah.”

The audience began to laugh.

“All I said is ‘sexual fantasy,’ and you guys laugh. Guess I don’t need to finish the joke.”

It might have been better for all concerned, if Ornella had taken her own advice and let the matter drop there, but she seemed to think she was on a roll. The host grew more insulting with her continued grilling of Jonah Hill.

“My sexual fantasy would be that we’d meet up in a hotel room at night. We would chat, you’d make me laugh; you’d make me laugh a lot,” she told Hill. “And then all of a sudden, you’d bring your friends [Leonardo] DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, and then you’d go away.”

This was as far as Jonah was willing to take Ornella’s banter, using the pause in the awkward exchange to let her know how he felt about becoming the subject of her lambasting humor.

“I’m glad I came to this show to get ridiculed by a local weather girl — it’s nice.”

Ornella Fleury Apologizes To Jonah Hill, But Is It Too Little, Too Late?

Following the exchange on Le Grand Journal, Business Insider reports that Jonah Hill cancelled all of his French press engagements, making it clear that his experience with Fleury had soured him against granting any further interviews in the country. While Jonah was freeing up his weekend by cancelling those interviews, Ornella was preparing an apology, which she publicly recited on the following Monday. The statement expressed Fleury’s feeling that, having watched Hill on film and screen for the past decade, she had come to feel that the two were far more familiar to one another than was actually the case. Ornella admitted that she felt too comfortable with Jonah and had treated him as a friend.

The host went on to offer a roasting of herself as penance for the way in which she had treated Jonah Hill, though the remarks she made about herself were not nearly as brutal as the insults she hurled at Hill only a few days earlier.

“No, the reality is that you have two Oscar nominations and I have two videos on my YouTube account. You have made films with [Martin] Scorsese and [Quentin] Tarantino and me, I have made an advert for Spontex,” said Fleury in her public apology to Jonah Hill.
