‘Worthless’ Tara Reid, Beaten And Bleeding, Warns: ‘This Is What Bullying Looks Like’

Tara Reid is shocking the entire online community with an Instagram image of herself looking horribly beaten and bloody, as she captions the pic with warnings of bullying and violence.

While the image and the message have certainly achieved their desired affect, garnering attention to Reid and the all too important cause of raising awareness against bullying, it should be noted that Tara Reid is actually unharmed. The Instagram image is intended to promote Tara’s new project, Worthless, a film that takes on one of the hottest issues facing society today.

Worthless Star Tara Reid Takes A Stand Against Bullying

Tara Reid announced her new film project by taking a selfie of herself still in make-up, but as E! News reveals, many of Tara’s fans were more concerned for her safety than they were interested in the film. That may be because Tara only subtly promoted the fact that the image was part of a publicity stunt to garner attention for Worthless. In fact, the worthless hashtag might have been presumed to relate to Reid’s state of mind, given the picture, instead of building interest in the film.

“Everyone be kind to each other. This is what bullying looks like,” Ms. Reid captioned the image.

Twitter fans were given a little more information, as Tara shared a tweet from the New Jersey Worthless set.

“I’m so excited being back in New Jersey where I was born and raised. I’m shooting my new movie Worthless,” wrote Reid in the tweet.

Tara opens up about her reasons for taking on Worthless, expressing her feelings that bullying is something that needs to be publicly addressed and eliminated from our society. Ms. Reid also reveals that she has been the victim of bullying in the past but adds that bullying in its many forms has grown much worse for younger generations.

Tara Reid Opens Up About Bullying And The Importance Of Worthless

Speaking exclusively with In Touch Weekly, Tara Reid opened up about her own experiences with bullying and body shaming. The actress, most recently known for reprising her role as April Wexler in SyFy’s Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens, says she has often been body-shamed for being too skinny. She adds that people are always urging her to “eat a burger” and reveals that she actually does love eating hamburgers. She also says that she loves her body the way it is, so it hurts that much more when she’s criticized for being too thin.

“People need to stop with the body shaming,” Ms. Reid explained. “I won’t let what anyone says stop me from enjoying my life.”

While some may scoff at Tara’s own experiences with body-shaming, suggesting that it hasn’t been as traumatizing for her as more serious bullying has been for others, Reid reminds us that bullying comes in many forms, to many varying degrees, and none of it is okay.

“Today is harder than ever for teens with all the cyber bullying out there. I’m part of a ‘No Hate’ campaign because bullying has become so out of control with the Internet,” Tara said. “I want to put an end to it.”

Ms. Reid also says she’s worked hard throughout her career and resents being labeled a “party girl” by the tabloids and in the industry. She says she does like to have a good time when she’s not working but adds that she’s very professional on the set. Tara also points out that she has never been arrested or found herself in any trouble related to her activities. Reid feels that the bad reputation with which she has been labeled has limited her ability to expand her career in spite of the extensive experience she has as an actress.

Still, Ms. Reid perseveres and tries not to be influenced by what she sees in the media.

“I’ve learned to not take things too seriously,” Tara said, “and that not everyone is going to love you.”
