‘Destiny’ Guide: Where To Find Dead Ghosts In Crucible Private Matches

Bungie flipped the switch on Destiny Private Matches Tuesday, which also revealed Dead Ghosts have been added to all of the maps. This guide will help PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players find all of the Dead Ghosts and add them to their Grimoire score.

The Dead Ghosts can easily be found by going into the Crucible menu from the Destiny game director while in orbit. Choose the new Private Matches option and then select “Game Options” to change the map along with other settings for the match.

Note that the Sector 618 map is a PlayStation exclusive and it not available on the Xbox One. Hat tip to the Destiny Reddit community for helping with that one as this writer plays Destiny on Xbox.

The Anomaly

Go to the C Control Point and look behind the boxes that are to the left of the platform where the Heavy Ammo spawns.

Asylum

This Dead Ghost is located in the same room as the C Control Point. Look in the clump of grass in the back corner of the room.

Bannerfall

In the room between the C Control Point and the bridge you’ll find this Dead Ghost.

Bastion

Near the C Control Point spawn, there are a pair of rocks sitting next to a tunnel to the left of the spawn. The Dead Ghost is sitting on top of the rock closest to the tunnel.

Black Shield

Go to the tunnel that is part of the central building between Control Points B and C. The Dead Ghost is there in a corner.

Blindwatch

This Dead Ghost can be found in the little alcove behind the Heavy Ammo spawn next to Control Point A.

The Burning Shrine

You’ll need to go slightly out of the map to get this Dead Ghost. From the central room with the big pillar, go straight outside. It’s behind the blocks just outside the edge of the map.

Cathedral of Dusk

Head to the Heavy Ammo spawn on the inside of the map where the Special Ammo also spawn. This Dead Ghost can be found here.

The Cauldron

Go to the bottom floor of the central room. The Dead Ghost is in a corner next to the door going outside on the Control Point C side of the room.

Crossroads

Jump to the floating island and run to the portal on the back left. You’ll see the Dead Ghost laying near the portal.

The Drifter

Run down to the bottom Heavy Ammo Spawn. The Dead Ghost is laying with some rubble behind the stairs to the left.

The Dungeons

On the orange side of the room where the Heavy Ammo spawn is located, jump to the platform where the Special Ammo is located. The Dead Ghost sits in the corner against the wall.

Exodus Blue

Go to the empty room in the back of the map next to A spawn. The Dead Ghost is against a wall.

Firebase Delphi

This Dead Ghost is located in that back room past the C side Heavy Ammo spawn.

First Light

Make your way to the broken bridge in front of Control Point C. The Dead Ghost is sitting next to the pillar and some crates.

Frontier

This Dead Ghost is almost impossible to make out unless you pay attention to your HUD asking to revive it. The Ghost is located in some bushes next to Control Point C Heavy Ammo spawn.

Memento

Go to the Special Ammo spawn located at the lower middle hallway that cuts between the middle fighting lane and the open fighting area. The Dead Ghost sits in a corner next to the ammo spawn.

Pantheon

Run past Control Point A and go all the way to the cliffside of the map and to the back. The Dead Ghost sits on the edge of broken stairs that lead to a fall off the map.

Rusted Lands

This is another Dead Ghost located just outside of the map. Go to the Special Ammo spawn that is up the hill from Control Point B. The Dead Ghost is located on the other side of the wall to your right when looking down the hill. However, there is a little corner where you can crouch and revive the Ghost through the wall.

Sector 618

Shores of Time

This Dead Ghost is located between the wall and a box in between the two tunnels that divide the Shore side of the map with the caves.

Skyshock

Head over to the tail section of the broken plane. The Dead Ghost is hidden in some bushes on the front left side when facing the section.

Thieves’ Den

The Dead Ghost is mixed in with some of the gold right next to Control Point A.

The Timekeeper

Jump on top of the ledge that is located right next to the Control Point in the pool of water and the nearby Heavy Ammo spawn.

Twilight Gap

This Dead Ghost is centrally located inside the crate in the middle room between the A and C spawn points.

Vertigo

Run to Control Point B from Control Point A. Look to the left before heading up the stairs that go to the Control Point B area. The Dead Ghost waits for you in the corner.

Widow’s Court

On the top floor of the building between Control Points A and C. This is overlooking the small courtyard where the Heavy Ammo spawns.
