Rob Kardashian Leaving Calabasas: Fears Depression Will Affect Fatherhood Upon Baby’s Arrival

Rob Kardashian reportedly wants to leave Calabasas before the birth of his child, telling family and friends that being in Los Angeles could potentially trigger his depression again.

The reality star, who had secluded himself from all kinds of family activities for three years due to his anxiety and depression battle, has slowly but surely made a tremendous change in his life, ever since getting together with Blac Chyna, whom he’s now expecting his first child with.

But according to Hollywood Life, being in California has made Rob anxious to the point where he’s convinced that staying near Calabasas, in particular, could potentially send him back to his depressive mood and consequently affect his relationship with Chyna.

During Sunday’s episode of Rob & Chyna on the E! network, the socialite made it known that she wanted Kardashian to be more supportive of the pregnancy and stop having to rely on his family members to help him out when things get rough, Daily Mail recalls.

In one scene, Chyna tells her close pals that Rob has the tendency to distance himself from her, which has caused all kinds of complications in their eight-month relationship. Now that a child being brought into the world, if there’s one thing that Blac asks of Rob, it would be for him to change his ways and be a dedicated father.

Of course, the drastic change Rob Kardashian has had to undergo in a matter of months hasn’t been easy on him and he’s aware of the fact that he hasn’t been there for Blac as much as he would like to.

But according to reports, if Kardashian leaves California with Chyna prior to the arrival of their baby, it’ll take away the pressure he’s convinced he’ll be under once his little girl is welcomed into the world.

“Rob [Kardashian] has lots of issues with living in Kardashian land, Calabasas, and that is why he is considering a move out of the area,” an insider tells the outlet. “The Kardashians attract constant media attention and having so many eyes on Rob, especially when he is not comfortable with his weight, only adds to his anxiety.”

The media attention that surrounds his famous sisters is exactly what Rob Kardashian doesn’t want to deal with once his daughter arrives in November. He wants to raise her his own way without the interference of photographers snapping photos of him in unfortunate moments that will portray him to be anything but the doting father he wants to be to his child.

On top of that, Rob is still dealing with his weight gain battle, so the idea of staying in California with all the attention that’ll surround him and Chyna’s life later this year is something the reality star isn’t looking forward to.

“Also, the longer he is with [Blac] Chyna, the closer she has become with his sisters, which is creating even more issues for Rob. He loves his family but also feels like in order for him to be a man he needs some space and room to stand on his own two feet.”

By no means is Kardashian fed up of his sisters and their concerns for his welfare, but there’s no denying that the TV star would appreciate having some space from his family. That way he can figure out fatherhood himself, without the interference of the media, photographers, and the likes of Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe.
