‘Teen Mom 2’: Jenelle Evans Defends Her Offensive 9/11 Social Media Comment

It is fairly typical for 9/11 to be a day filled with social media updates remembering the tragedy. Celebrities like Jenelle Evans, however, need to be especially careful about what they say or how they say it when it comes to such as sensitive subject. International Business Times reports Teen Mom 2 fans did not take too kindly the social media comments Jenelle Evans made in regard to 9/11.

The question is – what was it that Jenelle said that sent her fans into such a frenzy?

Unfortunately, Jenelle Evans taking to Twitter to remember the victims of 9/11 only ended up offending her following on Twitter. Fans did not take too kindly to hearing her say she could “almost relate” to people who lost someone that day. Naturally, the Teen Mom 2 star wasted no time trying to smooth things over with her following by explaining why she said what she said. However, the damage had already been done – there was no reasoning with her fans.

Entertainment Tonight reveals Jenelle posted another tweet saying, “If my uncle hadn’t of retired he would have been dead right now.” Evans did, however, make a decision to delete the second tweet defending what she had said about 9/11. Some fans may even question why she didn’t just delete the first tweet.

“This is legit the stupidest thing she’s ever tweeted,” one follower commented. “That’s the most insensitive comment ever! You should try to almost relate to being a mom,” a second tweeted at Jenelle attacking her parenting skills in addition to her insensitive comments.

In addition to making the decision to keep the original tweet up, Jenelle also retweeted a more sympathizing tweet by one of her followers.

“@PBandJenelley_1 If you hadn’t said anything, people would say you were unsympathetic. D***ed if you do, d***ed if you don’t. Crazy,” the follower wrote.

Fortunately, for Jenelle – this was not the only follower to come to her defense. “Her point was she is sorry and she can imagine what its like because her uncle could have been there,” a second Twitter user tried to explain.

Teen Mom 2 star, Jenelle Evans, is no stranger to the backlash of her following on social media. In fact, many of fans who follow Evans believe she also lied about the miscarriage she supposedly had before getting pregnant with her daughter Ensley Jolie.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, Jenelle claims to have suffered a miscarriage back in April of this year. However, some Teen Mom 2 fans are questioning whether or not that is true because the timelines between that pregnancy and her current pregnancy overlap. In fact, many Teen Mom 2 fans think Jenelle just lied about the miscarriage. It is possible she lied about the miscarriage to silence the original pregnancy rumors because having a miscarriage for a pregnancy she didn’t know about makes her look better than lying about being pregnant until it is leaked via police report.

Based on what Teen Mom 2 fans know, Jenelle would have had to get pregnant with her daughter in May of this year. This means if she did suffer a miscarriage in April, she immediately got pregnant with her next cycle in May. Do you think Jenelle lied about the miscarriage and was pregnant when the “Jenelle is pregnant” rumors first started?

Even if Jenelle did decide to delete the original tweet she made about 9/11, the existence of the tweet has already been plastered all over the media. Do you think Jenelle Evans stepped over a line with the comment she made about 9/11 or do you think people are being overly sensitive about it?

One thing is true – Jenelle Evans followers never miss an opportunity to criticize her for something she says or does.
