Josh Murray And Amanda Stanton Split? ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Star Admits There Was ‘Trueness’ In Andi Dorfman’s Claims

Josh Murray took a hard line against Andi Dorfman’s claims of emotional abuse.

After months of denial, the Bachelor in Paradise star now admits that Dorfman’s memoir isn’t completely fiction. How will this impact his relationship with Amanda Stanton? Will Stanton call off the engagement now that she knows the truth?

Wet Paint is reporting that Murray still hasn’t read Dorfman’s book, but he did admit that there is some “trueness” to her accounts.

“Yes, there’s a trueness in there,” Murray revealed. “But it’s twisted in such a way that makes it the worst lie possible because it’s believable. I’m not perfect by any means, but I think I’m pretty decent!”

Murray didn’t outright endorse Dorfman’s allegations, but the change is closer to what Nick Viall commented about the memoir.

As fans will recall, Dorfman criticized Murray for being overly controlling and emotionally abusive in her memoir, It’s Not Okay: Turning Heartbreak into Happily Never After.

Murray and Dorfman got engaged at the end of her time on The Bachelorette. The pair split, however, less than a year later.

Since then, Murray landed a spot on Bachelor in Paradise and proposed to Stanton during the Season 3 finale.

According to Hollywood Life, Murray dished on Dorfman during the proposal.

“I thought I knew what true love was in the past, but I didn’t until I met you. This is true love,” Murray told Stanton.

He later told fans that Stanton was “the best woman in the world,” clearly taking another shot at his ex.

Despite all of the allegations leveled against Josh Murray, Stanton is still sticking by her man, at least for now.

“He hasn’t been controlling,” Stanton shared. “He’s definitely not abusive. We’re on a show where everyone is dating each other, so I think a little bit of jealousy is almost cute and flattering. Everyone’s a little bit jealous.”

Murray added, “Amanda has nothing to worry about whatsoever. I’m just going to be the best person I can be all the time. That’s all I can do.”

After the end of Bachelor in Paradise, Murray moved in with Stanton in her home in California.

By the looks of things, the couple is still together and plans on going through with the wedding.

“He’s so dedicated and so loyal. He’s sweet and thoughtful and caring – it’s not just something he turns on for the cameras,” Stanton gushed.

That being said, Perez Hilton is reporting that Murray and Stanton have been fighting ever since the end of Bachelor in Paradise.

Apparently, things are so bad that their relationship might not last much longer.

“Josh and Amanda are still engaged, but it’s been a tough road,” an insider revealed. “They have broken up a couple times since getting home and have had a rough start to their relationship.”

The source added that distance was one problem in their relationship. While Murray has since remedied that, the stress of being a real couple is starting to weigh them down.

Add in the fact that Stanton has two daughters and things aren’t looking good for Murray.

Will their relationship last through the end of the year?

While Murray and Stanton’s relationship is up in the air, Stanton is facing some controversy of her own.

According to Hollywood Take, the former Bachelor star’s ex-husband, Nick Buonfiglio, is trying to take her kids away.

Buonfiglio is reportedly unhappy with Stanton’s reality TV life and wants to have more custody control over their daughters. In fact, he recently filed a request in court for added custody.

“Before Bachelor in Paradise, they had never been to daycare,” Buonfiglio explained. “Then, as soon as she comes back… they’re in daycare full-time.”

The two are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 13.
