Dr. Phil Will Ask JonBenet’s Brother If He Had Anything To Do With Her Murder

Today, the world will finally see the first interview with JonBenet Ramsey’s older brother, Burke Ramsey, conducted on Dr. Phil. Viewers have been warned about Burke Ramsey’s odd demeanor, who smiles and seems amused by conversations of child abduction, murder, and his mother’s distress upon realizing that her youngest child, JonBenet, was missing. However, Dr. Phil claims that knowing the case of JonBenet was going public, Burke Ramsey wanted to control the narrative and speak out on the topic.

Dr. Phil has released clips in an attempt to desensitize viewers to Burke Ramsey’s odd demeanor in advance of the three-part interview. Dr. Phil says that Burke Ramsey is somewhat a loner, often working remotely, who can smile at inappropriate times and seems unaware of how he comes across. Burke Ramsey does share that he was aware that he was a suspect at one time, as were his parents. Burke Ramsey was cleared by DNA evidence of any involvement in the crime.

Over the course of three days, Burke Ramsey will chat with Dr. Phil about the most traumatic event in Ramsey family history, but he will tell the story from the perspective of a 9-year-old boy. Burke Ramsey explains that on the day his sister’s body was found, he remained in his bedroom, essentially because it was his safe place.

Dr.Phil is perplexed as to why Burke Ramsey would not have come out to see what was going on, says People Magazine.

JonBenet Ramsey’s Brother To Appear On ‘Dr. Phil’ To Speak Publicly…

“Somebody comes in your room and flashlight looks around,” Dr. Phil says in the clip. “Your mother’s been in there yelling, ‘Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Where’s my baby?’ And you never get up and say, ‘What is going on here?’ ”

But even though his home was full of police and his mother was screaming, Burke Ramsey did not leave his room. Burke Ramsey continues smiling and seems to giggle while explaining his lack of alarm.

“I guess I kind of like to avoid conflict or, I don’t know, I guess I just felt safer there. I’m not the worried type. I guess part of me doesn’t want to know what’s going on.”

But luckily, Dr. Phil will not go soft on Ramsey and says what viewers will be thinking by stating that many people will think that Burke Ramsey had no curiosity because he already knew what was going on.

“You, of course, know that critics would say you weren’t curious because you already knew. You didn’t have to get up and check because you knew exactly what had happened.”

Burke Ramsey says that his clearest memory was hearing his mom “going psycho.”

But WWMT says that behind 29-year-old Burke Ramsey’s odd verbal and facial reactions to the murder of his sister lies a socially awkward young man who realizes how much this trauma shaped his life.

“Seeing that as a kid is just kind of a chaotic nightmare. So I was pretty skeptical of any sort of media. It just made me a very private person. As to why I am doing it now, it’s the 20th anniversary and apparently there’s still a lot of attention around it.”

As a result of the murder of JonBenet and the tabloid accusations that the family was involved, Burke Ramsey was sheltered in an attempt to keep him safe and possibly unaware. Although Burke and his parents were cleared by DNA evidence, the world wants to see Dr. Phil ask the big question.

“Did you kill your sister?”
