‘Stranger Things’ Did You Knows: Eleven Hates Eggos, Barb Quits Work, Season 2

Have you finished binge-watching Stranger Things? Then here are a few did-you-knows to get you through until Season 2 is here.

Stranger Things became a blockbuster hit this summer and a lot of people are going gaga over the whole thing. One, of course, because the storyline and the premise is immensely pulling and interesting. Two, the characters are just too adorable (especially Dustin)! Three, there are a lot of open-ended scenes and questions that are still awaiting answers, leaving us with these strange feelings in the pit of our stomachs. While we wait for Season 2 (yes, there’s Season 2 coming!), here are some facts about Stranger Things and its cast.

Eleven hates Eggos

Character Eleven in Stranger Things (played by Millie Bobby Brown) loved Eggos in the series. Having been raised in a secret government facility, and with that skinny, skinny body, we can only imagine what kind of “nourishment” she received. Because of this, she has developed quite an appetite for Eggos. She even has this one moment when she steals a bunch of Eggos from the supermarket and eats them right out of their packaging.

But outside Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown actually hates Eggos! In an Instagram video of the Stranger Things actress, she actually calls Eggos “gross.”

Another interesting tidbit about Stranger Things’ Eggos, Vogue talks to the Duffer brothers and they find out that Eleven’s fondness for Eggos is a nod to E.T.’s fascination for Reese’s Pieces.

Fans flock Barb

Barbara Holland, played by actress Shannon Purser is Nancy Wheeler’s best friend on Stranger Things. While Stranger Things became all about rescuing Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp), Barb got completely forgotten, except for, well, some parts with Nancy trying to convince people not to forget about her.

While Barb is one of the most underrated characters in the series, she has already created quite a following for herself because of the awesome character that she really is. We have t-shirts, murals, and all sorts of GIFs commemorating her.

Purser’s portrayal of Barbara in Stranger Things is her first stint in the Hollywood scene but fans loved her so much Glamour reports that she had to quit her job at a movie theater because fans were flocking just to see her. Shannon Purser tells Glamour the following.

“People started showing up at work, and I figured maybe I should lay low for a while. [Laughs] But it’s been a really good job!”

“Living in New York, just getting stopped on the street often and having people talk about the show is crazy and wonderful. It’s great! But it’s definitely something to get used to. People do recognize me. I walk around with sunglasses and I think I’m hidden, but they do [see me]. They have wonderful and nice things to say about the show, so I have fun talking to [the fans].”

Dustin is really toothless

As the huge Stranger Things fan you are, you might know already that the actor who plays Dustin in Stranger Things, Gaten Matarazzo, is really toothless in real life. It seems like Stranger Things’ move to write it into the show inspired a lot of people with the same condition to own it and be proud. Matarazzo tells Vogue the following.

“It’s a very rare condition and not many people have it around the world. When they wrote it into the show, I [started] getting a lot of messages and emails online from people who have the condition, saying that it really helps them come out of their shells a little bit.”

If you see Matarazzo around with teeth, he reveals those are fake.

Season 2 is in the works

The Inquisitr previously confirmed that Season 2 of Stranger Things is really in the works, and we even have the titles for the nine episodes already in. According to the report, Stranger Things Season 2 will act as a sequel of sorts, starting one year after the events of Season 1. We find out that this reason is partly due to the young cast members maturing over the course of the filming.

The nine episodes will have the titles: “MadMax,” “The Boy Who Came Back to Life,” “The Pumpkin Patch,” “The Palace,” “The Storm,” “The Pollywog,” “The Secret Cabin,” “The Brain,” and “The Lost Brother.”

According to Hollywood Reporter, we will be seeing three new actors on board Stranger Things Season 2 and the first two episodes, “MadMax” and “The Boy Who Came Back to Life,” will reveal these new characters.

Stranger Things is coming back for Season 2 in 2017. Will Eleven make a comeback too? Stay tuned for more information.
