Kate Gosselin Dressed Her Kids In Garbage Bags, Ignored Their Health
Kate Gosselin seemingly confessed to apparent child neglect in her book, I Just Want You to Know, as detailed in a recent report from In Touch Weekly. Gosselin, the reality television star of Kate Plus 8 (formerly Jon & Kate Plus 8), has been criticized in the past for the supposed maltreatment of her children: 15-year-old twins Cara and Mady, and 12-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel. The current news adds fuel to that fire.
As laid out by In Touch, Kate Gosselin’s carelessness toward her eight kids included outfitting the brood in trash bags and ignoring their wealth woes. While Ms. Gosselin may be admired by fervent Kate Plus 8 fans for her outward devotion to the juvenile octet in her long-running TV series, the latest revelations of Kate’s reckless behavior shed new light on the woman once praised by Kate Plus 8 network TLC as “America’s Favorite Mom.”

In one startling disclosure from I Just Want You to Know, as reported by In Touch, Gosselin apparently acknowledges that she disregarded her children’s dental hygiene. Recounting a time when Mady (Madelyn Kate Gosselin) supposedly complained of tooth pain, Kate recalls inspecting the child’s mouth to find tooth decay.
“I looked in her mouth and was horrified.” […] “One of her teeth was black and rotting. It must have hurt her so badly, and I didn’t know how I didn’t see this sooner.”
Mady wasn’t the only Kate Plus 8 kid getting a bad deal when it came to parental supervision. In Touch also identifies another astonishing Kate Gosselin book admission, in which daughter Leah (Leah Hope Gosselin) fell and split her head open. Reportedly, Kate waited upwards of 10 minutes until tending to the wounded child, and seemingly feigned ignorance in the following quote from I Just Want You to Know dismissing Leah’s injury.
“The blood was everywhere! I still don’t know what happened to Leah, and that left me a bit unsettled.”

As told by Radar Online, Kate previously took heat for a candid photo of her treatment toward son Collin (Collin Thomas Gosselin).
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, estranged Kate Plus 8 father Jon Gosselin has also been fielding his share of bad press. A story from last month highlighted Kate’s People magazine disclosure that Jon’s demeanor changed after the fame and fortune resultant of their Jon & Kate Plus 8 empire. Kate said that Mr. Gosselin, whom she divorced in 2009, began staying out late and made lavish purchases of motorcycles and cars.
“I really would have thought he’d have been here for the long haul.” […] “The weirdest thing is that overnight he became a different person.”
This sums up the latest drama, gossip, and intrigue surrounding Ms. Gosselin, her former beau, Jon, and their small screen family of eight children. Kate’s reality program has been in continuous production under one guise or another (with or without Jon) since spring 2007 — the latest and fourth season of Kate Plus 8 just started airing in January.
