So Fetch! ‘Mean Girls’ Lacey Chabert Gives Birth To Baby Girl
Lacey Chabert, who you may know better as Gretchen Wieners – the girl from Mean Girls who was committed to making the catch phrase “so fetch” happen, has just given birth to a beautiful baby girl. A few hours ago, Lacey Chabert announced on Instagram that she had given birth to a beautiful baby girl named Julia Mimi Bella Nehdar a week earlier on Thursday, September 1.
Lacey Chabert has been busy preparing for the arrival of her new baby. Back in June, she shared gorgeous pictures of the nursery she had set up for her baby girl. The nursery featured a whimsical and girly theme with pink, cream, and gray colors. The nursery’s design came complete with florals, crystals, and faux fur.
Back in July of this year, Good Carma Studio hosted a baby shower for Lacey Chabert. This baby shower bash, just like the nursery Lacey had set up for her gorgeous baby girl, was decked out in a lot of cream and pink. The bash was complete with a dessert spread and stations where individuals attending the baby shower could write wishes and help create scrapbook pages for the baby.
Chabert, like most expecting and new mothers, admitted that describing what pregnancy and giving birth is like is next to impossible. She claimed it felt as though it flew by and lasted an eternity at the same time. She also told PEOPLE Magazine, “It’s surreal and beyond exciting that my due date is finally approaching! In some moments I feel completely ready and in others, I panic that we have forgotten to take care of something before her arrival.”
Julia Mimi Bella Nehdar is the first child for Chabert and her husband, David Nehdar. The couple officially tied the knot and settled down back in December of 2013. According to Entertainment Tonight, it was back in February of this year that the couple first announced that they were pregnant on Twitter.
The Mean Girls star and her husband made the announcement by sharing a picture with her pet chihuahua – who is ironically named Kitty – with Kitty wearing a shirt that said, “My mom is having a baby & all I get is this silly shirt.”

If you think being pregnant was enough to slow this actress down, think again. Lacey Chabert found a way to stay busy and on schedule with all of her film projects including the upcoming holiday film titled A Wish for Christmas.
“Being able to do what I love for a living is a luxury for which I’m very thankful. That being said, being in nearly every shot of a movie, while growing a tiny human, was challenging,” she told PEOPLE magazine.
Lacey Chabert has been acting professionally since she was just 7 years old. Nearly all stages of her life – including the painfully embarrassing years of puberty – have been documented forever on film. Chabert, however, is grateful that the stages of her pregnancy have also been documented this way so she can continue to cherish the moments forever. She is truly grateful that she was able to continue her career as an expert while carrying her baby.
