Kendall And Kylie Jenner Talk About Latest Collection At Party And Reveal In Manhattan

It was all in the family on Wednesday in Manhattan for the Jenner-Kardashian-West clan. Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who are enjoying great success with their own fashion label Kendall + Kylie, are gearing up for their own display during New York Fashion Week, and were celebrating their success prior to the big day with a party for the line.

Before the sisters arrived at their own party, Kylie and Kendall first stopped into brother-in-law Kanye West’s show on Roosevelt Island of Manhattan. The reality stars, best known for their family antics on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, expressed how they feel in regard to their growing confidence as designers. Kendall, a model who has a stable presence on runways for top designers and who will certainly be seen all week modeling for such designers in NYFW, spoke on the topic.

“I think that every season we get more and more comfortable. It’s super-awesome. The line grows with us.”

Kylie, who will also hit the runway, added what the pair have learned in working together.

“We’ve learned how to work with each other better. I mean, everything down to certain fabrics and patterns. We definitely learned a lot.”

Kendall also shared how it has benefited her ability to design by being on both sides of the industry, as a model and the creator of the fashion. She also states that she’s gained much from appearing in shows for designers she admires.

“I think it’s cool to be able to see both sides. I get to see the designers that I work with who are obviously on a much higher level than our brand at the moment. It’s cool to see their process and what they have to go through behind the scenes, because it’s kind of a goal to set and somewhere that I would like to be one day.”

The venue for the sisters’ party was Samsung 837 in downtown Manhattan, a tiered environment where guests were able to enjoy hors d-oeuvres and sip cocktails while treating themselves to a viewing of Kylie and Kendall’s latest collection which was encompassed by leathers in black and white. Guests were also offered the chance to have T-shirts decorated by spray-paint artist Malcom Stuart, and to nab a leather backpack which could be monogrammed right then and there.

Although the girls showed up in full force to support Kanye at his Yeezy show for Adidas, the rapper was unable to return the favor, yet from the reply given by the sisters to his wife Kim Kardashian, he’ll likely be forgiven. It’s clear Kylie and Kendall Jenner are full of praise for their sister’s hubby who has been more than a little controversial over the past couple of years. The Associated Press shares the words of the girls when asked about Kanye.

“It was so awesome. I love watching his stuff. He’s a genius and just seeing his work come to life, it’s really cool.”

Fortunately, feathers weren’t ruffled too badly earlier this year when news broke that Kylie would be the new face for the latest Puma campaign, a brand that is a rival to Adidas. Initially, Kanye was in disbelief about the news, as Hollywood Life shared, but when it all was proven to be true, Kanye demonstrated that family does come first and he took the high road by letting it go and not giving his youngest sister-in-law any trouble over her success. It wasn’t a likely possibility that Kylie would be swayed in the slightest by an irate Kanye, seeing as she is moving forward without minding what any negativity gets thrown her way. The 19-year-old continues to make a name for herself.
