Song Hye-kyo Upset? Cancelling Plans With Song Joong-ki? Unfollows Users On IG

Of late, South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo seems to be in bad spirits.

For starters, the social media-savvy actress unfollowed the only two Instagram users she had been following.

Those familiar with Song Hye-kyo’s Instagram account would be aware that actress Song Hye-kyo has over 2 million followers on Instagram. However, the Descendants of the Sun star has been following only two accounts: Aino, a South Korean jewelry brand, and bichon, an account that represents South Korea’s popular dog breed.

Recently, it was discovered that Song Hye-kyo unfollowed those accounts. Of course, the reasons could be personal. However, common sense dictates that when someone sane and sober like Song Hye-kyo unfollows people, then all is not well.

The actress, however, has been enthusiastically updating her Instagram pages with her old photographs.

Song Hye-kyo has always been gung-ho about attending any event pertaining to Descendants of the Sun. However, this time, she has left her fans in the dark and hasn’t confirmed her participation for the Seoul International Drama Awards.

While Song Joong-ki has officially announced that he will be present at the Hallyu awards ceremony, Song Hye-kyo has made no such promise. That has left the fans disappointed, as many were hoping to see Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo reunite on Thursday. The awards ceremony would have been a perfect platform for Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo to reunite with the cast and crew of Descendants of the Sun.

However, optimistic fans of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo are hoping that the actress will give them a surprise by turning up at the event.

In the past, despite their hectic schedule, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have always been present at fan meets and other events that revolve around Descendants of the Sun. There is no reason why Song Hye-kyo may have to miss this one.

Fans are hoping that if Song Hye-kyo fails to attend this ceremony along with the other Descendants of the Sun cast, the next time the SongSong couple will get together will hopefully be on September 19 during Song Joong-ki’s birthday celebrations.

However, there has been no word from Song Joong-ki or Song Hye-kyo about their plans for the birthday bash.

Another cause of concern for Song Hye-kyo could be China’s Hallyu ban. While Song Joong-ki immediately bagged a movie project (Battleship Island) after the conclusion of Descendants of the Sun in April, Song Hye-kyo has been taking it slow. She has not signed on for any movie or a K-drama project so far.

Could the actress have lost a Chinese movie project because of the Hallyu ban?

While several questions remain unanswered, fans on social media platforms have conveyed that they would like to see their favorite SongSong couple once more, preferably at the Hallyu awards ceremony.

Fans are pinning their hopes that Song Hye-kyo might give them a surprise at the eleventh hour.

The last time Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo walked hand in hand was during the Baeksang awards in June. The couple looked like a page from a fairytale.

The alleged affair between Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo gained momentum when the actress sent a Coffee Pong truck to the sets of Battleship Island. The South Korean movie portrays Song Joong-ki in a prominent role.

Despite these gestures that are seemingly romantic, both Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have always denied rumors that they are seeing each other.

Song Joong-ki recently told Soompi that even if he were in a relationship, he would make sure that he kept it under wraps.
