Nick Viall Says Jen Saviano Deserves The World, Jen Says She Has Moved On

When Nick Viall was announced as the next star of The Bachelor last week, it became clear that his relationship with Jen Saviano, which was still playing out on the spin-off Bachelor in Paradise, didn’t last. What wasn’t clear was whether Nick and Jen left Paradise as a couple and broke up later in the real world or if they broke up on the last day of Paradise. The season finale episode showed that Nick broke up with Jen on the proposal platform. Viewers watched Nick tearfully tell Jen he didn’t see a future with her.

After the finale episode aired on Tuesday night, Nick posted a tweet in which he admitted that it wasn’t easy to say goodbye to Jen, whom he described as “incredible.” Nick also said that he’s lucky to have had her in his life and that she deserves the world.

In response to Nick’s tweet, some people applauded Nick for going with his gut and expressed excitement over watching his upcoming Bachelor season. Yet there were also many who criticized Nick for hurting Jen, declaring that he’ll never find a better woman than her and that she deserved better. Some also accused Nick of dumping Jen because he knew he was going to the franchise’s next star and faking his heartache at saying goodbye to Jen.

Jen, meanwhile, asked on Twitter who wants to take her out.

As Monday night’s episode aired, during which Nick and Jen went to a fair and visited a fortune teller, Jen expressed regret that the fortune teller couldn’t predict the future, hinting that she now regrets her time with Nick.

All of the couples, as well as Jen, appeared on the live after-show After Paradise after the finale episode aired. Jen confessed that she has “mixed emotions” about Nick being the Bachelor but has moved on.

“I’m good. I’m doing good. Nick is the Bachelor, there’s definitely mixed emotions about that, but I’ve moved on, and I’m doing good.”

Jen did not talk about her friend and co-star Lauren Himle’s bombshell claim, made last week, about Jen’s relationship with Nick after the show. As the Inquisitr reported, Lauren claimed during a radio show interview that Jen and Nick were still seeing one another after Paradise and that Nick actually ended things with her to be the next Bachelor.

Perhaps reflecting her “mixed emotions,” Jen has not publicly congratulated Nick on being the Bachelor on her social media accounts. Nor has she posted any positive posts about her time and short relationship with Nick. She did, however, posted a photo of comedian and actress Amy Schumer drinking a huge glass of wine, seemingly in response to the announcement that Nick is the next Bachelor.

Tuesday night’s Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 finale episode showed the couples the morning after their fantasy suite overnight dates. Shown sipping coffee together in bed, Nick Viall and Jen Saviano told one another that they had an amazing night. Jen told the camera that she has never felt closer to Nick.

“I feel good about where we’re at. I’ve never felt closer to him.”

Nick, as well as the other remaining men, Josh Murray, Grant Kemp, and Evan Bass, then picked out engagement rings with jeweler Neil Lane. Upon seeing Nick, the jeweler made a joke about having already met with him twice before, once on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette and then on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season. “How many times am I going to see you again?” he quipped. Nick laughed off the dig and eventually picked out an engagement ring for Jen.

After Evan and Carly Waddell, and then Grant and Lace Morris, got engaged on the proposal platform, it was Nick and Jen’s turn. After host Chris Harrison wished Jen luck, she walked up to Nick and confessed her feelings for him.

“Coming into this, my eyes went right for you… The chemistry was instant and intense… I knew that day that I’d found something special. You’ve brought out a side of me that wants to be open and vulnerable, and that hasn’t happened in a long time.”

Yet as Jen professed her love for Nick, Nick cried, and not from happiness. Sobbing, Nick told Jen that he doesn’t love her and that there’s no future for them.

“I’m a better person today than I was when you first showed up, because of you…Something’s telling me to say goodbye. I’m sorry… I feel like you deserve better than me.”

While Jen was clearly heartbroken, she did give Nick a big hug before they departed. While sitting in the van away from the resort, Nick actually said that he feels as if he’s incapable of saying “I love you” to anyone.

Will that change when he starts filming The Bachelor Season 21, or will Nick be like former Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis, who didn’t even tell his final pick, Nikki Ferrell, that he loved her?

The show then gave updates on the couples. Evan and Carly, Grant and Lace, and Amanda and Josh, who got engaged after Nick and Jen’s breakup, are all still together and engaged. As for Nick, the show tellingly said that “his future looks bright.” There was no update for Jen. Perhaps she’ll return for Bachelor in Paradise Season 4? What viewers won’t be seeing is her returning to The Bachelor for Nick. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jen tweeted last week that she won’t be returning to pursue Nick.
