Is ‘Teen Wolf’ Star Dylan O’Brien Returning To Work? ‘Maze Runner 3’ And Other Movies Are Scheduled But He’s Not On Any Sets Yet

Teen Wolf star Dylan O’Brien has hardly ventured out of the house since his accident on the set of Maze Runner 3: The Death Cure last March. He has been recovering at home but was spotted and captured in a fan selfie with a fan. A few recent photos have surfaced here and there.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure is scheduled to resume filming in February of 2017, according to Enstarz. There is every indication that the filming will continue as planned, and the film should be released in 2018. The production of this film has already been postponed at least twice due to Dylan’s injuries, which he sustained on the film’s set.

Teen Wolf Season 6 plans to resume filming with O’Brien in October. Thankfully, part of the season has already been filmed, prior to Dylan’s accident, so there is no question that the show will air starting on November 15, 2016.

American Assassin, starring Dylan O’Brien, Michael Keyton, and Taylor Kitsch is also slated at some future date. The CBS and Lion’s Gate production is based on a Vince Flynn novel, according to Movie News Guide. There is no information yet on when filming will start on this film, but presumably, it will be made after Maze Runner 3.

A Teen Wolf movie is also in the works, though barely in the planning stages. It will feature the Teen Wolf MTV cast, including O’Brien. MGM owns the rights to Teen Wolf, and the franchise has already made them a lot of cash, so there is little doubt they will pick up the idea, according to Parent Herald. It is far too soon to know when this movie will be filmed or released.

So, Dylan O’Brien has his work waiting for him when he finally feels up to it. Next year promises to be a busy one for the recovering heartthrob. Still, though, will Dylan be able to come back and take on such a massive schedule after being out for six months? There have been no verifiable reports on his health since the accident, and many fans are worried about the handsome young actor.

Maze Runner 3: The Death Cure may be especially difficult for O’Brien, even though a new location has been selected. It was on the set of this movie that Dylan was injured so seriously. He’s got to be a little bit nervous about coming back.
