Tulisa Contostavlos Sex Tape: The British Star’s Biggest Regret
Tulisa Contostavlos is opening up about some of her biggest regrets. The former X Factor judge revealed that she wants to make a big return to music. But first, Tulisa is going to address some of her demons.
She gave an open and honest interview on Good Morning Britain on early Monday morning, September 5, reports The Mirror. Contostavlos opened up about her infamous sex tape and rumored plastic surgery procedures, both of which she regrets. She made an appearance on the early morning talk show to promote her new song “Sweet Like Chocolate” until hosts Piers Morgan and Susana Reid grilled her about her scandalous past.
Tulisa was cool with the interview, though. She was willing to answer the questions and address her past, which she’s not proud of.
“I call that time in my life the black period,” she revealed. “But look, it was part of my life and it’s made me who I am today. It’s hard because it’s difficult to forget so when people think of Tulisa, all those things come to mind.”
Susanna then asked Tulisa about her sex tape, which she made with her ex-boyfriend DJ MC Ultra, who leaked it online. Tulisa’s sex tape received plenty of buzz in Great Britain immediately after it went viral via adult video sites and social media. In the interview, she revealed that she didn’t realize how much of an impact the sex tape would have on her life.
“That’s something I regret. I mean of course I regret it, wouldn’t you? But when I made it, I wasn’t that famous at the time. I was in a relationship with the person for two years and I trusted him.”
DJ MC Ultra, whose real name is Justin Edwards, denied being involved in her sex tape scandal, though he admitted that the girl in the video was really Tulisa Contostavlos. It’s also been rumored that she leaked the sex tape herself to become famous, which also happened shortly after the controversy, reports the Morning Ledger.
“It was fillers and I had an allergic reaction and looked like Finding Nemo. It does frustrate me a little bit, because I do understand from an outside point of view, someone looking in must go, ‘Why did you try to do that in the first place? Are you unhappy with yourself, have you got issues?’ And I feel pretty detached from this, this for me is a shell. The person that I am inside is very separate to me from this.”
There is no denying that Tulisa has been through her share of controversies over the past few years. Tulisa was charged with assault in 2013 along with a drunk driving incident last year, reports The Metro. She also has been through her share of drug trials. The former N-Dubz star says she wants to move on from her scandalous past. Tulisa is hoping to revive her career with her new single, which she has been actively promoting on social media.
Contostavlos was praised by fans for keeping her cool during the awkward interview, reports The Mirror. Some of them even called out Morgan for asking the inappropriate questions in the first place. After the controversial Daily Mail contributor took notice of the backlash he received on social media, he attempted to defend himself.
“What was I supposed to ask her about – the weather?” he asked.
Tulisa took to Twitter to send Piers some love but later joked about the interview on Instagram.
