‘Married At First Sight’ Season 4 Spoilers: Tom and Lillian Move Out Of His Bus, Talks Having Kids, Postnuptial Agreement

Married At First Sight Season 4 couple Tom Wilson and Lillian Vilchez just took their relationship to the next level. Lilly finally found out that Tom lived in a tour bus in Episode 6, “For Richer or Poorer.” While she was clearly less than thrilled with the revelation, she promised Tom that she is willing to make some compromises to make their marriage work.

When Lillian showed Tom her place, he was pleasantly surprised to find out that his wife is not materialistic at all. During their honeymoon, the two had quite an argument when Lillian thought that Tom was calling her out for buying a new car. While he found Lilly’s place “cute,” there is just not enough room for two people so they went to Tom’s place.

On his People blog, Tom shared that he was nervous to see Lillian’s reaction with his living arrangement.

“As we approached, I saw concern start to creep onto Lilly’s face – and that’s when I broke the news: ‘I live in a bus!!!'”

Lillian admitted that she was disappointed that Tom kept this from her. After all, she specifically told the Married At First Sight Season 4 experts that she wanted someone who was “independent and financially safe.” Surprisingly, after the initial shock, Lillian told the cameras that she was actually impressed with the bus. This pleasantly surprised Tom and made him appreciate Lillian even more.

“I gave Lilly the full tour and saw she was genuinely impressed. That made me so happy. Afterward, we discussed life on the bus and its feasibility for us. I thought to myself, ‘If I really want this marriage to work, I’m going to have to compromise.'”

The next day, Tom and Lillian decided to talk about their finances. Given the nature of their jobs, they both did not have guaranteed salaries, but were taking home roughly the same amount. Tom and Lillian agreed that they should take things slow and not have a joint bank account right away. Tom also suggested that they have a postnuptial agreement. While Lillian acted cool about drafting a contract, she told the cameras that a postnuptial agreement could “ruin everything great that has happened” in their marriage. It, however, did not take long for her to realize that a contract makes sense given that they’ve only known each other for a week.

Lillian’s easy going attitude towards the postnuptial agreement surprised Tom.

“‘Wow’ was all I could think. ‘That was easy.’ And it made me think that this marriage might turn out to be easier than I thought,” he wrote on his Married At First Sight Season 4 blog.

Tom also agreed that living inside a bus might not be the most ideal of situations. Although he loved his bachelor setup, he realized that, just like Lillian, he must be willing to make a few compromises. The Married At First Sight Season 4 couple eventually found the perfect house to start their life together.

“If I really wanted to make this marriage work, I’d have to learn to be accommodating. Moving out of the bus is definitely tough, but it’s not like I’m selling it. I’m just giving this time for Lilly and I to get to know each other better.”

In the next episode of Married At First Sight Season 4 titled “For Better or Worse,” Tom and Lillian will once again talk about expanding their family. Lillian previously said that she wanted to have kids in five years, but Tom wanted to have children even sooner.
