Duggar Pregnancy Rumors: Jim Bob And Michelle Respond To Claims Anna, Jill, And Jinger Are Pregnant

Pregnancy is a major part of the Duggar lifestyle — and of the Duggar family’s series of reality shows, starting with their hour-long special, 14 Kids and Pregnant Again in 2004. In the dozen years since, Michelle Duggar has birthed five more children who have expanded the family, and the brand. The pregnancies of daughter-in-law Anna Duggar (who now has four children) and daughters Jessa and Jill (who have one child each, and Jessa has recently announced a second pregnancy) have also been major plot points for the Duggar family’s screen life.

Of course, in the midst of this — as the family progressed from 14 Kids and Pregnant Again to 19 Kids and Counting, there have been a few issues. In fact, it seems like the family is always at the center of one controversy or another, with many based on the conservative religious and political beliefs with which Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar raise their kids.

It was the big scandal, however, with police records surfacing to show that Josh Duggar had been accused of molesting five young girls, including four of his sisters, that led to the eventual cancellation of the Duggar family’s reality show on TLC. The Duggar family would bounce back quickly, though, into a new show ostensibly focused on the two married Duggar daughters, Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard.

In early episodes of Jill and Jessa: Counting On several Duggar siblings, as well as Anna Duggar, sat before the camera to discuss Josh’s crimes and indiscretions.

However, as the show goes forward with its second full season, it is expected to return to the themes that were the focus of 19 Kids and Counting before the Duggar family was (briefly) pulled off the air: large families, pregnancy, parenting (of a large family), and courtships (rather than dating) and weddings.

Though Jinger Duggar and her courtship and wedding are expected to be one primary focus of the season, Jessa Seewald’s pregnancy will also be featured. Rumors have circulated, as Inquisitr has reported previously, other Duggar siblings have also been rumored to be pregnant — including the aforementioned and unmarried Jinger Duggar, Jill, and Josh Duggar’s wife Anna.

Jill’s hypothetical pregnancy has been a major source of rumors for several reasons, including that she and Jessa have mentioned wanting to be pregnant at the same time, and that she has been outside the U.S. and Zika virus could be a concern.

Anna Duggar, meanwhile, has been a special source of speculation too. Since the release of police reports was followed by the revelation that Josh Duggar had been spending time on a website devoted to cheating spouses, recent reports say the pair are having another baby in hopes of saving their marriage. The Parent Herald recently reported that this had been supported by unnamed inside sources.

So, to recap: Jessa has announced her pregnancy, and viewers are speculating on pregnancies for Jill, Jinger, and Anna.

Well, recently, in the between-the-lines way they’re known for, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar responded to all of those rumors via Michelle’s blog on the Duggar Family website, declaring that they will soon have seven grandchildren.

We are so thankful for our wonderful 32 years of marriage, 19 children, plus our daughter and sons in laws, and going on 7 grandkids.

It isn’t a direct denial, and even Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar maintaining that they are expecting only their seventh grandchild — as opposed to say, seventh and eighth, or another three at once — doesn’t negate the possibility of one or some of the grown Duggar children and having not yet announced it to the matriarch and patriarch of the family.

Still, it at least insinuates that if there are any more Duggar babies on the way, the family isn’t yet ready for even the most covert of announcements.
