Camila Cabello Pulling A Zayn By Leaving Fifth Harmony Concert?

Camila Cabello shocked Fifth Harmony’s fans when she pulled out of the group’s concert early due to crippling “anxiety.” However, has since apologized to fans after leaving the band’s set in St. Louis on Friday night, Sept. 2.

Cabello, 19, took to her Snapchat account to apologize to her Harmonizers.

“Hey Missouri, sorry I couldn’t finish the set last night… was having too much anxiety and I couldn’t finish it,” she said on the social media app. “I love u I’m truly sorry.”

Cabello left the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre show shortly after she performed Fifth Harmony’s hit song “Bo$$” with fellow members Ally Brooke, Dinah-Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Normani Kordei. The girl group still had several songs left in their set, reports The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. One of her members blamed a wardrobe malfunction for Cabello’s sudden departure, but she never returned to the stage with them.

Cabello then took to Twitter to reveal that she wants to do nothing but sleep for the next three days.

Cabello previously revealed to Billboard in Fifth Harmony’s revealing cover story that she started experiencing symptoms of anxiety last year.

“I was having terrible anxiety, nonstop. My heart would beat really fast the whole day. Two hours after I woke up, I’d need a nap because my body was so hyperactive. It was so f***** up sorry, but it was so f***** up. I was scared of what would happen to me, of the things my brain might tell me. I realized the stuff I thought was important isn’t worth my health. Now I write in a diary every day, work out and meditate.”

This comes after Cabello has been rumored to leave Fifth Harmony in favor of a solo career. Earlier this year, Cabello collaborated with music producer Benny Blanco on a solo song, reported Us Weekly. However, bandmate Normani Kordei denied the feud and split rumors on Twitter last month.

“For those of you who enjoy speculating and creating drama that doesn’t exist, please keep in mind that myself and the other girls in the group are PEOPLE,” Kordei, 20, tweeted. “We feel hurt and sadness just like everyone else.”

“The smartest thing you can do is recognize that making assumptions and passing judgment on others is wrong,” she continued. “I am here to offer great music and performance along with my girls. This is our story so let us write it our way, instead of you trying to write it for us.”

But, the rumors about Cabello leaving the group are still swirling. After Fifth Harmony picked up two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards last week, the singers headed to the Republic Records after-party sans Cabello, reports A Dose of Sass gossip blog.

Cabello was noticeably absent from the party. Then, around 2:30 a.m. the singer walked in while the four other ladies left. It’s been a tough time for the singer. Cabello recently chipped her tooth after a fan threw a ball on stage during an Atlanta stop of their 7/27 world tour, reports the Miami Herald. The outlet also noted that Cabello’s Instagram page only shows her solo photos, not any of her with her fellow bandmates.

Cabello’s sudden departure reminded fans of the time when Zayn Malik left One Direction in the middle of their world tour. Since then, the British singer has gone to achieve success with his debut solo album, Mind of Mine. Like Cabello, Malik has been through his share of anxiety, which has caused him to cancel his set at the Summer Time Ball earlier this summer. Malik took to Instagram to apologize to his 11.5 million followers and let them know what has been going on, according to news.com.au.

“Unfortunately my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me… with the magnitude of the event, I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career. I cannot apologise enough but I want to be honest with everyone who has patiently waited to see me, I promise I will do my best to make this up to everybody I’ve let down today. I know those who suffer anxiety will understand and I hope those who don’t can empathise with my situation.”
