Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, And Megan Fox: Worst Tattoo Regrets

Getting a tattoo is always fun, but with a bit of pain. And for celebrities Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, and Megan Fox, their tattoos later on became negative symbolic reminders that they would rather do away with.

Starting with Johnny Depp, his recent break up with Amber Heard was believed to have caused him a lot of emotional distress. He was accused of battering her, with both parties accusing each other of manipulating the facts. According to Johnny Depp’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, Amber wrongfully accused the Pirates of The Caribbean star to achieve financial gain. This was according to the Daily Mail.

Just a few days ago, Marilyn Manson, a long-time friend of Johnny publicly stated that the star was crucified in the tumultuous divorce process, saying, “Johnny is one of the nicest people that I know — to the extent where it’s almost heartbreaking how kind he is to his friends, and everyone around him. I know that he was completely crucified — unjustly.”

This is as reported by The Wrap. Now to the tattoos, Johnny Depp was quick to change the SLIM (her nickname) tribute to her on his knuckles to SCUM, reflecting his change of heart. He is said to have paid millions as divorce settlement to two charity organizations chosen by Amber Heard.

On to Angelina Jolie, she removed the Billy Bob tattoo on her arm in 2003 after they broke up. Their relationship was said to be wild, involving dungeons and vials of blood. According to Bob, not all the stories about the couple were true. For example, he was fond of calling his recording studio, which was in the basement, a dungeon, and of course when he told a reporter that he was spending time in his dungeon recording music, the “dungeon” part was emphasized because it was a more interesting angle. About the vials, he stated the following about them during an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.

“I mean it was a crazy time. I’ve never been fond of it,” the actor explained. “[The] vial of blood is very simple. You know those lockets you buy that are clear and you put a picture of your granny in and wear it around your neck? She bought two of those… We were apart a lot because she’s off making Tomb Raider and I’m making Monster’s Ball. She thought it would be interesting and romantic if we took a little razorblade and sliced our fingers, smeared a little blood on these lockets and you wear it around your neck.”

He highlighted that the actress found it interesting, saying, “We were wearing quart jars of blood around our necks. And we were vampires and we lived in a dungeon”.

This was as reported by US Magazine. Now to Britney Spears, she apparently had her Kabbalah tattoo removed from her neck in 2008, which was a very challenging year for her. Some reports cited that it made her feel like a hypocrite. However, another theory was that the wording of the tattoo was wrong. Apparently, Madonna convinced her to have the word Hashem, one of God’s names inked on her neck, but the spelling came out wrong, forcing her to undergo the painful procedure of erasing it.

Megan Fox is another celebrity who simply outgrew some aspects related to her tattoo and chose to remove it. She had her tattoo of Marilyn Monroe on the inside of her forearm removed, stating that it was attracting negative energy. The following was her statement, according to the Daily Mail.

“I’m removing it. It is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar. I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life.”
