Nina Dobrev To Quit Acting, Confirms On Social Media?
The Vampire Diaries starlet Nina Dobrev is currently busy with xXx: Return of Xander Cage, in which she will be sharing screen space with Vin Diesel, Ruby Rose and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone. During the shooting of the film, the actress took to her social media to reveal that she is quitting acting.
Return of Xander Cage, alternatively known as xXx: Reactivated, is an upcoming action film directed by Disturbia director D. J. Caruso. The film will follow the story of a government operative, Xander Cage (Diesel), who will come out from his exile to help the government in recovering a weapon known as Pandora’s Box.
In the film, Dobrev is going to portray the role of Rebecca “Becky” Clearidge, who is going to be a witty and sarcastic techie of the team that will be recruited by Xander to recover the deadly weapon.
Recently, film’s director, Caruso, took to Twitter to share Dobrev’s picture, in which the actress is seen operating the camera. The ace director added the caption, “Found this great camera operator today & tried to convince her, she’s on the wrong side of the lens!”

Dobrev retweeted the image with a caption that suggested that she is done performing on screen and in future, she would like to stay behind the camera.

Well, fans of the actress should take the image and the related caption as good humor on her end.
Having said that, the Bulgarian actress also took to her Instagram to share a racy image of herself along with her friends Milissa Sears and Julianne Hough.
In the uploaded picture, all the stars chose to ditch their bikini bottoms. The ladies are bent over the bow of the boat so that their bare bottoms are visible with the serene view of the lake, mountains, and full moon.

Meanwhile, there have been some serious talks among The CW and TVD’s executive producer to bring back the actress back to the supernatural series.
TVD’s showrunner Julie Plec has high hopes for their beloved star to come back one last time. During the recently held San Diego Comic-Con, when it was asked to Plec if Dobrev would be able to reprise her role or not, the EP of the show stated that when the actress left the show, she made it clear that she is going to pursue her career in the movie industry.
At the same time, Dobrev made a promise to Plec that when the series comes to an end, she is indeed going to return.
“Not to put too much pressure on anything Nina Dobrev, but a promise was made. An emotional promise that I’d like to see come to life.”
Not only Plec, but even The CW’s executive producer Mark Pedowitz recently stated that the network is in talks to bring Dobrev back.
“We backed Julie [Plec] in her decision … there are discussions going on with Nina, we’d love to have her back … These are discussions that go on, hopefully, she’ll be back, but should it not work out, Julie has planned out a great series finale for fans.”
Furthermore, the actress’ IMDB page has been updated and reveals that she is indeed going to appear as Elena Gilbert in Season 8.
The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will air on at Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. on The CW. It is unknown whether Nina Dobrev will reprise the role of Elena Gilbert in it or not, but fans will surely get to see her performing action in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, which is slated to release on January 20, 2017.
