Kings Of Leon’s Jared Followill Is Married

Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill married girlfriend Martha Patterson Saturday, People reports. The couple, who got engaged in April, were wed in an outdoor ceremony in Charlotte, Tennessee.

Followill and Patterson enlisted the help of celebrity event planner Sharon Sacks to create the country casual wedding. Sacks has planned weddings for Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom and Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey.

A guest told People, “They had a great farm-to-table cuisine with all of their favorite things. It was down home and very real. It was very much true to their style.”

Jared Followill is the last member of Kings of Leon to get married. The middle brother, Caleb, married Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge on May 12, 2011 in Montecito, California. The oldest brother, Nathan, married singer-songwriter Jessie Baylin on November 14, 2009. Cousin Matthew married singer-songwriter Johanna Bennett in November 2009.

Followill said he felt pressured to finally settle down. He said:

“I know it’s stupid, but you feel pressure in the sense that people are judging you. It goes into your decision-making, like, ‘What are my brothers going to think?’ I’m not talking about looks obviously, even status, you just have to find somebody that people like because everyone has settled down.”

Before the ceremony, the 25-year-old tweeted, “Today, I get married. It’s the biggest step I’ve ever taken. I’ve dreamed about this day since I was a little girl.”

Patterson wrote, “Marrying my best friend today. I’m the luckiest girl in the world. :)”

Prior to becoming involved with Patterson, Jared Followill was linked to Twilight actress Ashley Greene in 2011. He was also engaged to model Alisa Torres, but they separated in 2009.
