‘Days Of Our Lives’: Olivia Rose Keegan On Claire Brady, Bad Posture, And Supportive ‘DOOL’ Co-Stars

Days Of Our Lives actress Olivia Rose Keegan may not be a veteran soap opera star, but she is learning quickly. Her DOOL co-stars have been busy mentoring and supporting Keegan. Some also give her advice, like when it comes to bad posture. In a recent interview, the actress and musician discussed watching herself on screen and which soap opera actors help her the most. She also believes that Claire Brady needs to hit rock bottom before making it big in the music business.

Fans were not sure what to expect when it was announced that the kids of Salem would be aged up. Claire, Ciara, Theo, Joey, and others did not grow a few years. They jumped from elementary school children to teenagers dealing with bullying, sexual assault, and other controversial storylines. On Days Of Our Lives, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Black’s (Martha Madison) daughter is considered to be the most innocent and naive of the Salem teens. However, she is also passionate, has big dreams, and comes up with innovative ideas on how to get her big break. Some viewers see Claire as insecure, but Olivia Rose Keegan disagrees. She perceives her character differently, according to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest.

“I couldn’t imagine being able to play a more interesting character. I just love Claire so much. Claire has a very clear vision of what she wants and so she’s misinterpreted because of her extreme drive and passion. She’s very confident within the aspects of her career and what direction she wants her life to go, but at the same time she feeds off the feedback and the love of others, so that can cause dilemmas.”

The Days Of Our Lives actress added that while Claire Brady is passionate about music, she is forgetting about other things that matter in life. Olivia Rose suggested that her character should hit rock bottom before making it big in the entertainment business. There is a saying that people appreciate success more when they have to fight and struggle for it. There are also quotes about musical artists writing the best songs when they are at their lowest points. She might be on to something and it would be way too easy if Claire made it to the top without any kind of struggles or pain.

Other topics that were discussed included Keegan’s DOOL co-stars helping the actress. Brandon Beemer and Martha Madison were both “very parental.” Madison and Deidre Hall, who plays Marlena Evans, assisted the young actress with her posture. Olivia Rose recalls seeing herself on the screen and yelling for her Days Of Our Lives character to stand up straight. Hall has also been a tremendous help to Keegan when it comes to proper dialogue.

On Days Of Our Lives, Claire is so determined to get involved in the music business that she wouldn’t allow Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) to brush her off. So, she talked to Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) instead and got hired as an assistant. As fans remember from recent episodes of the NBC soap opera, Claire Brady was supposed to go to college. However, she was so sure of her success that she refused to attend. Finally, her parents made her a deal and gave her one year to make it in the music business or she would need to enroll in school. Only time will tell if Claire gets a record deal or not, but in the meantime, fans are enjoying her journey.

What do you think of what Olivia Rose Keegan had to say about bad posture, her DOOL co-stars, and getting support from the cast? Do you agree that Claire Brady should hit rock bottom before rising to the top on Days Of Our Lives?
