Drake, Rihanna Pregnancy Rumors Send Social Media Into A Tailspin

The relationship between Drake and Rihanna was barely confirmed when rumors began to swirl that Rihanna is pregnant with Drake’s baby.

In the hours since the pregnancy rumors first broke, several media outlets including Gossip Cop have come out to blast the rumor as a “sensational claim.” Nevertheless, despite the fact that several celebrity news outlets have claimed the rumor to be untrue, some fans are hanging their hopes on a Drake and Rihanna baby.

Rumors of a Drake and Rihanna relationship have been floating around the internet for ages, but those rumors quickly died when Riri and the “Hotline Bling” singer confirmed their relationship at the end of August. In the days since, Twitter has exploded with those hoping that Drake and Rihanna get pregnant — and soon.

On Thursday, Celeb Dirty Laundry started the rumor of a Rihanna pregnancy after they posted a story speculating about the possibility that Drake and Rihanna could become pregnant in the future. Citing an unnamed source, the website alluded to the idea that the “Disturbia” singer and the Toronto native have already talked about what their children would look like.

“The two have also reportedly talked about how cute their offspring would be if they were to have children. Who knows how long the couple have been together behind the scenes, but now that they are official and crazy in love with one another, it looks like a baby is a given.”

Plenty of fans hope so. In fact, some are going so far as to take bets as to when Rihanna could become pregnant by her boyfriend. Still others recognize what a large impact a Drake-Rihanna baby could have on pop culture.

Unfortunately for those hoping to see Drake and Rihanna have a baby sometime soon, the rumors seem to be nothing more than speculation. In fact, RumorFix echoed the information put out by Gossip Cop, saying that the rumor is not true.

“Rihanna and Drake are not planning for children at this time.”

Still, Celeb Dirty Laundry claims that the pregnancy could happen and goes so far as to write “maybe there is a little Drizzy on the way!” As evidence, the website points to the sold-out OVO Fest in Toronto where Drake told the crowd that he “would go half on a baby” with the “Umbrella” singer after she showed up onstage to perform with the 30-year-old rapper.

Joint performances between the two entertainers stoked the rumor mill, especially when some of their performances leaned toward intimate displays of affection. The couple neither denied nor confirmed the rumors until Sunday night, when Drake and Rihanna made it clear that they’re together during the VMAs.
