Will she or won’t she, in terms of Dr. Cristina Yang, be making an appearance back at Grey-Sloan Memorial is the biggest question being asked in anticipation of season 13 of Grey’s Anatomy. Shonda Rhimes put out the ultimate hint that she wanted to return to the core relationships of the show and what is more core than the relationship of Meredith Grey and Cristina Yang. But a media source has confirmed that this is the season where Cristina comes back, even if it’s just for a short time, to be Meredith Grey’s “person.”
Sandra Oh has confirmed that she would be willing to come back to Grey’s Anatomy, and that Shonda Rhimes was also leaving that door open, according to The Inquisitr. Photos on Twitter and Instagram of Sandra Oh with cast members of Grey’s Anatomy has teased fans and so have Oh’s comments about being Owen’s wife after he married Amelia last season. So is it possible that Dr. Cristina Yang might be called back to Seattle to work on a case?
Christian Post is saying that Dr. Cristina Yang is set to return to Grey’s Anatomy this season to be the moral support for Meredith, who is trying to get back to normal life as a widow with a house full of kids. Now that Amelia is married and living with Owen (Cristina’s ex) there is room in the home of Meredith Grey as a place for Dr. Cristina Yang to bunk once again.
RELATED REPORTS BY INQUISITR
There is no firm word about when in the season Cristina will make her appearance, but she is certain to be welcomed by most of the Grey’s Anatomy cast.
“Fans may expect Cristina Yang’s character dancing with Meredith once more in Season 13. In fact, Sandra Oh already noted in a report that she is willing to come back to the show one last time before it ends.”
But does that mean that Season 13 will be the end?
Season 13 of Grey’s Anatomy will start on September 22nd.
BitBag says that one one of the spoilers for Season 13 of Grey’s Anatomy is indeed the return of Dr. Cristina Yang. The buzz has been that Shonda Rhimes wants to return to the core characters, and that she will be bringing them back for at least one episode. But what would Cristina Yang’s role be?
“Tagged as one of the best doctors in Grey’s Memorial, she can also return as a guest surgeon, doing a rather complicated procedure. Of course, there’s the nagging thought of her return becoming a complication on Dr. Owen and Amelia’s relationship.”
But if going back to the original characters means that Izzie Stevens will return, followers of the behind the scenes Grey’s Anatomy drama would find that hard to believe. Shonda Rhimes has been quite clear that she wants nothing to do with Katherine Heigl, who left the show on very negative terms. In an interview with People Magazine, Rhimes made it clear that she wouldn’t work with Heigl.
“I Don’t Put Up with Nasty People.”
In order to work with Shonda Rhimes, and remain employed, she says that it is important not to be a jerk.
“I don’t put up with bulls— or nasty people. I don’t have time for it. [I have] what I call a “no a–holes policy.”
Rhimes says she learned a lot on Grey’s Anatomy and put that policy in place. She was happy to say that that cast of Scandal didn’t have the same problems.
“There are no Heigls in this situation.”
This doesn’t sound like a promising scenario for Katherine Heigl to return along with Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang.
Do you think that Cristina will truly make her return this season?
