Michael Fassbender Calls Girlfriend Alicia Vikander ‘Fierce And Hungry’: ‘Jason Bourne’ Actress Wins Him Over In New Movie

Michael Fassbender has been trying to keep his relationship with girlfriend Alicia Vikander private, but with their new movie coming out, that has been harder than ever. To promote the movie they both star in, The Light Between Oceans, Michael and Alicia have decided to talk openly about their relationship and what drew them together.

When asked by critics and journalist how the Jason Bourne actress was on the set of Derek Cianfrance’s movie, Michael Fassbender was full of praises.

“I was kind of scared when Alicia came,” he admitted to Variety. “She was so fierce and hungry. It was something that it’s always a great thing to see in an actor who is coming on, getting an opportunity who hasn’t been well known yet.”

“I remember that from when I was starting, that hunger when really fresh actors come on the scene makes more established actors up their game,” he continued. “I really felt like I had to get my shit together and just be there and be as present as she was and Derek is somebody who demands more and more and more.”

And now, they are at the Venice Film Festival promoting their extremely romantic movie. All throughout the party and premiere, they could not keep their PDA to themselves.

“The two couldn’t keep their eyes off each other as they posed for photos together,” reports People Magazine. “Fassbender kept his arm around Vikander’s waist as they smiled for the camera. Vikander looked chic and relaxed in a blue and white wrap maxi dress with matching block heels, while Fassbender kept his look classic in a pair of dark blue jeans with a white shirt and a blazer.”

While the X-Men actor has been around for a while, the Jason Bourne actress is just now coming up through Hollywood at the age of 27. This past March, she won her first Oscar, showing the world that she has the charm, beauty, and talent to take the film industry by storm.

Her directors and onscreen partners have sung praises about her work ethic as well as her raw talent. In fact, Tom Hooper said that just her audition for The Danish Girl moved him to tears.

“The audition moved me to tears to an almost embarrassing extent,” the director of The Danish Girl said to Vanity Fair. “Eddie [Redmayne] was like, ‘You’re so busted. There’s no way you’re not going to cast her if she made you cry on the first take.’ I’m like, ‘No, no. I’m—it’s just a bit of allergy. I’m fine.'”

In another interview, Michael said that she pushed him to his boundaries when it came to performance for the new movie.

“She’s a very fierce performer, very brave. Always testing the boundaries of how far you can go,” he said.

Derek Cianfrance has gone above and beyond in praising the Swedish actress. In fact, it might be in hopes of ramping up the heat for the movie premiere.

“What I saw was two great people who were so supportive of each other, who were really picking each other up, and pushing each other…. They were an undeniably good match,” he said to Vanity Fair. “They were going to make one another better. And they were better together.”

More romantic movies are on the horizon for Alicia Vikander. After promoting The Light Between Oceans, she is set to release Tulip Fever and many other movies to come in the future.
