Kailyn Lowry’s Plastic Surgery Caused A Rift In Her Marriage To Javi Marroquin
Kailyn Lowry’s plastic surgery overhaul reportedly put a strain on her marriage to Javi Marroquin.
Earlier this year, around the time Marroquin left Delaware and headed off to his months-long deployment in Qatar, the Teen Mom 2 star underwent a Brazilian butt lift, a tummy tuck, and liposuction on her neck. In turn, Marroquin wondered if his then-wife would remain the same person.
“[Kailyn Lowry] was struggling a lot with her body and her weight issues so she got the surgery,” Marroquin told Radar Online on August 31. “She said it makes her happy so at the end of the day that’s all that matters.”

Although Kailyn Lowry claimed she was only going under the knife in an effort to make herself happy, Marroquin, the father of her youngest son, 2-year-old Lincoln, wasn’t completely on board with his then-wife having the surgeries.
“I was more shocked at who she’s becoming,” he admitted. “In the back of my mind I was also worried of who you’re going to be. Are you going to be the same person I fell in love with? Or is this going to change you?”
“The surgery is part of the reason we had so many problems,” Marroquin added.
According to Radar Online, Kailyn Lowry ultimately proved her plastic surgery procedures did change her when she attended Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards braless in a see-through lace shirt. The outlet also deemed her VMA look as her “most risqué look yet.”
While on the red carpet flaunting her recently purchased curves, Kailyn Lowry spoke of the potential of getting back together with Marroquin. Shockingly, she seemed to be open to the idea — but not quite yet.
“I think it would just take time,” Kailyn Lowry said of the possibility, according to a report by OK! Magazine on August 29. “We have different visions for our near future, so I think it would just be a while.”

Although Kailyn Lowry may be open to the idea of getting back with Marroquin in the future, Marroquin confirmed he was not on board with the idea a short time later.
“No, there is nothing that could be done, said or heard,” he told Radar Online. “We both know it was too much.”
After confirming he was not open to a reunion with Kailyn Lowry, Marroquin spoke to Radar Online about a new woman in his life, Nancy Gisell, who has gotten so close to the reality star that she was recently introduced to his son.
Speaking to the outlet earlier this week, Marroquin said he had love for Gisell but admitted that they weren’t yet involved in an official romance with one another.
“Nancy is not my girlfriend, but I have a lot of love for her,” he said. “That is one person I have a lot of love for. Our personalities click… There is an attraction there. I enjoy her company a lot. That’s one person I would do anything for.”
Still, he explained, his focus isn’t currently on a relationship.
Gisell was deployed in Qatar with the husband of Kailyn Lowry and recently traveled to South Carolina with Marroquin for a short vacation in Myrtle Beach, which was also attended by Lincoln.
Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin are currently in production on the upcoming season of MTV’s Teen Mom 2. The show will begin airing later this year or early next year.
