Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End developer Naughty Dog is sure listening to their players. Fans are requesting for additional maps, thus, the Uncharted 4 update 1.12 now live for the PS4 is bringing in a new multiplayer map called New Devon. And it is available for free!
In a recent post on PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog’s Senior Communications Manager, Scott Lowe, said:
“One comment we see and hear the most is ‘Release more maps!’ Rest assured, we’ve heard you loud and clear and today we’re excited to introduce New Devon, an all-new multiplayer map launching today in Uncharted 4 Multiplayer.”
The New Devon multiplayer map for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End follows the release of the game’s first multiplayer DLC a month ago called Lost Treasures. Similar to other DLC packs slated for the game, the freshest map for Uncharted 4 Multiplayer mode can be obtained without having to shell out money from the pocket as it is part of a free update.
Describing New Devon, the PS Blog post read:
“Inspired by the Uncharted 4 campaign, New Devon is set in the lush ruins of an abandoned pirate colony. It’s one of our largest maps to-date and features wide open exteriors with elevated vantages for those who prefer long-range engagements. If you’re more of a run-and-gun player, don’t worry — there’s no shortage of tight corridors for close-quarters combat.”
Uncharted 4 Multiplayer update 1.12 for the PS4 also introduced a variety of enhancements and changes. For instance, gamers are set to experience new methods to unlock Multiplayer items and to receive Relics. Gamers will be able to have more relics by finishing and winning matches, aside from completing Challenges.

DLC Vanity Chests get additional items from the latest Uncharted 4 PS4 patch as well. These include the Premium DLC Skins and Pre-Set outfits. This gives the players an opportunity to unlock and have access to Premium vanity items at a cheaper Relic price.
And with Ranked Season 2 already ongoing, new ranked rewards were added, too, in the latest patch. Furthermore, gamers should see changes made to A Thief’s End ranked team deathmatch playlist. Check out the complete patch notes for PS4 Uncharted 4 update 1.12 on the game’s official website.
Naughty Dog also revealed tidbits about the DLC update arriving this September. Lowe revealed that the upcoming DLC update, specified by GameSpot as Bounty Hunters DLC, will introduce another map, a new game-type, customization items, among others. Further details about the September DLC will be revealed soon via their social media pages.
Fans of Naughty Dog’s action-adventure PS4 game have another reason to be excited this month. A sale event in the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Store is set to commence on Friday, September 2. All the DLC Relic chests will be offered with whopping discounts (up to 62 percent) until September 16.
For fall 2016, Naughty Dog is expected to bring in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End co-op mode as well as more maps, weapons, boosters, Mystical, new skins and vanity items. Responding in the comments section of his PS Blog post, Scott Lowe assured fans that co-op is still “on track” for their Autumn update.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s Endwas initially released May of this year, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 console. The game takes place three years after the events of Uncharted 3, where “Nathan Drake has apparently left the world of fortune hunting behind.”
“However, it doesn’t take long for adventure to come calling when Drake’s brother, Sam, re-emerges asking for his help to save his own life and offering an adventure Drake cannot resist,” the game summary posted on Metacritic added. “On the hunt for Captain Henry Avery’s long-lost treasure, Sam and Drake embark on a journey to find Libertalia, the pirate utopia deep in the forests of Madagascar.”
