Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell and her husband, Tyler Baltierra, are still struggling with the adoption of their oldest daughter, Carly. On the couple's reality series, it was recently revealed that Carly's adoptive parents don't want the pair to talk about them or the adoption on TV any longer. This caused some tension between the two sets of parents.
According to MTV News, this has been hard for Catelynn and Tyler, as they are often seen sharing their thoughts and feelings with each other about the adoption and the issues that go with it.
In the most recent episode of Teen Mom OG, Tyler expressed anger and hurt over the fact that Carly's adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa, no longer want the adoption mentioned on the show. Tyler revealed that he didn't want to have to censor his voice or opinion, but Catelynn reminded him that it wasn't worth not seeing Carly. Meanwhile, Lowell and Baltierra have also become huge advocates in the adoption community, and not being able to express their feelings about adoption on the show could hurt that.
Catelynn Lowell recently opened up about the struggle of trying not to upset the balance in the relationship between herself, Tyler, and Brandon and Teresa.
"I think it's difficult learning how to navigate what I'm saying around the cameras. I know that I'm allowed to say some things, but not really talk in too much detail."
This isn't the first time that Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell and her husband, Tyler Baltierra, have had issues with Carly's adoptive parents. In the past, the couple have been upset over not being able to show Carly on the show, not getting photos of their daughter, and Brandon and Teresa not wanting Carly to meet some members of their family, such as Tyler's dad, Butch.
However, the two couples have always seemed to work through their issues and maintain a good relationship. When Catelynn and Tyler got married during the last season of Teen Mom OG, Brandon and Teresa attended the wedding with Carly, who even shared a very special dance with her birth parents. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as Tyler held his firstborn daughter and danced with her on his special day.
Unfortunately, it appears that Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have other issues to deal with during this season of Teen Mom OG. Fans have been watching as Catelynn is displaying signs of serious depression and anxiety. Lowell admitted that she often has a hard time getting out of bed, that she's unhappy, and that she smokes marijuana multiple times in a day to help calm her. During a therapy session, Catelynn admitted that she's scared she'll make life changing mistakes when parenting her youngest daughter, Nova.
As many fans know, Catelynn recently completed a stint in a rehab treatment facility to help her learn about and deal with her depression issues. Catelynn was forced to leave her husband and their baby daughter in hopes of returning home happier and healthier.
Meanwhile, Catelynn Lowell's other Teen Mom OG cast members have also been dealing with serious issues. Maci Bookout is adjusting to being the mother of three as well as planning a wedding. Amber Portwood and her fiance, Matt Baier, are still trying to work through their relationship problems, and Farrah's life is busier than ever as she continues to try to balance motherhood with her career, all the while working on her rocky relationships with her mother, Debra, and her boyfriend Simon.
Fans can watch Catelynn Lowell and her co-stars on Teen Mom OG at 9 p.m. Monday nights on MTV.
