Kelly Dodd And ‘RHOC’ Star Heather Dubrow Fire Up ‘Real Housewives’ Feud

Kelly Dodd is the new kid on the Real Housewives Of Orange County block, but her repeated outbursts at other RHOC stars have turned her into one of the most noticeable members of the cast, as well as boosted her chances of entering the unofficial Most Famous Real Housewives Hall Of Fame. Dodd, fueled by her feud with her co-star Heather Dubrow, has shocked some viewers with episodes that sound more like soap operas spiced up with bouts of swearing.

And the shockers linked to Kelly just keep coming, with Radar Online reporting that despite her claim she has never behaved “inappropriately” around children, her past includes allegations that reportedly hint otherwise. Her former fiance had a son, 12, and Dodd faced accusations that she allegedly sent “vile” text messages to the pre-teen.

Heather expressed her worry about having Kelly there in the presence of children due to the “screaming and vulgarity” Dodd exhibited during her dinner battle with Shannon Beador. But when Kelly learned about Dubrow’s doubts, the RHOC star cried.

“I know that I have a problem with my anger, but I’m a mom and I’m a damn good mom and I’ve never been inappropriate around children, ever,” said Dodd as she defended herself.

However, Radar cites a 2014 restraining order filing in which the estranged spouse of Dodd’s ex-fiancé alleged that Kelly sent “vile and inappropriate” messages via text to her son when he was 12.

Dodd contradicted the allegations.

“I have no intention or desire to have any contact in writing or in person with Dana Caldwell and or [her son.] I have never made any threats or cause any physical harm to either Dana or [her son],” read the response.

The case subsequently was dismissed on February 18, 2014.

Now, as a star on The Real Housewives Of Orange County, Kelly is defending herself against Heather, with Dubrow upset about her co-star’s behavior, reported People.

If first impressions are key in determining future relationships, Dodd may have chosen the wrong path for her initial meetings with the rest of the RHOC cast. There was that horrific fight with Shannon Beador at her rock-and-roll ’70s party, as well as a dinner at which swearing took away the spotlight from the elaborate sushi and caused Heather to exit sobbing.

At a meeting with Kelly and Tamra Judge, Dubrow attempted to help Dodd understand her side of their feud. Heather began with a positive note about her first hopes for their relationship.

“I feel like we were getting along really well. But that sushi dinner? I’ve just never been involved in something like that,” admitted Dubrow.

“The screaming and vulgarity? I felt like I was suffocating and I had to leave.”

Although Kelly kicked off her part of the dialogue by defending herself, she did admit that she was embarrassed about her behavior.

“I was kind of shocked that you got so upset at me because I wasn’t talking to you,” insisted Dodd. “It was a nightmare, and I’m really ashamed of myself, quite honestly.”

But Kelly’s admission that she felt “ashamed” did not provide Heather with the resolution that she desired, she subsequently revealed.

“I think it’s great that Kelly’s showing remorse and she’s ashamed of her behavior. But the last two times I have been with Kelly, she has acted in a way that I think is not acceptable. So what possible guarantee do I have that it’s not going to happen again?” questioned Dubrow.

Moreover, Heather revealed that she knew Dodd had mocked her when she wasn’t there.

“I leave and I hear you imitated me and made fun of me? Why would you do that?”

Kelly explained that she was upset that Dubrow had asked that she exit the dinner, noting that it was not Heather’s party and therefore not her “place” to order someone to leave. But Heather fired right back at Dodd, pointing to how Kelly had been swearing in the middle of the restaurant.

“When you start calling people the c-word and ‘dumb f***’ – screaming in the middle of restaurants – you lose all right to say what people can and cannot say back,” asserted Dubrow.

Dodd then admitted that her behavior was “wrong.” However, the accusation that seemed to affect her the most was Heather’s concern that Kelly might behave that way around the children of cast members.

“Do you understand how that made me feel?” Dodd cried. “I don’t just attack people. I don’t do that… When anybody accuses me of something that is untrue, the feeling of hurt is the reaction… I feel like I’m treading water and I’m drowning.”
