‘Bachelor’ 2016: Nick Viall To Hand Out Roses, News Shocks Fans

The new bachelor for 2016, Nick Viall, has been announced as the newest contestant looking to find love ahead of the Season 21 premiere. Many bachelors are looking for love, but it looks like Nick Viall is the chosen one for the upcoming season of everyone’s favorite show.

Hopefully, the new bachelor of 2016, Nick Viall, will have the same fate as Ben Higgins, who was the bachelor for Season 20 of the hit show. As we know, Ben Higgins proposed twice to his chosen lady Lauren Bushnell, but it wasn’t because she rejected him. On the contrary, Higgins just wanted to propose to Lauren Bushnell in front of her family and friends. Things seemed to work out so well for Ben and Lauren on The Bachelor that they now have their own reality show, appropriately titled, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? In the new trailer, we see how newlywed life is treating them at their new home in Colorado, and how they’re settling into a more domesticated life, free of hot tub romps and helicopter rides.

As for the new Bachelor of 2016 Nick Viall, once it was announced that he would be the latest to hand out the roses, fans reacted in a few ways, but most were shocked. Why are fans so shocked about the news? Well, Nick Viall is currently on the season of Bachelor in Paradise and has been going out with Jen Saviano. That said, that’s not the reason why fans are so shocked. The new bachelor seems to be the most universally disliked contestant in some time. In fact, many wanted to see fan favorite Chase McNary as the next bachelor.

Here are a few fan reactions about the new bachelor of 2016.

It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise as to why viewers despise the new bachelor for the 2016 season. Nick Viall has had a long history with longtime viewers of The Bachelorette. Viall made his first appearance on The Bachelorette to win Andi Dorfman’s heart in Season 10.

As the Huffington Post notes, Nick Viall’s first on-air rejection was painful to watch for many fans. When Andi revealed she never loved him, he retorted, “If you didn’t love me, then why… why did you make love with me?”

Although he was the runner-up, he struck an odd chord with the viewers, as people just couldn’t look away from Viall, and because of that ABC decided to have him on board for season 11 of The Bachelorette.

Although it didn’t work out for Nick Viall since his first appearance on the show, he told After Paradise co-hosts, “I’m definitely ready for it — I’m really excited. I couldn’t be more excited about the possibility of it working out.”

After he had lost out once again on Bachelor in Paradise, Viall said, “I’ve made my mistakes. I’ve had an interesting process through this journey, and it hasn’t worked so far. Hopefully, things will end up on a more positive note.”

Will Nick Viall finally find love on The Bachelor? Will audiences stick it out with this super sensitive soul?
