Sydney Leathers: Anthony Weiner’s Sexting Partner Warned Weeks Ago That He Was Still Seeking Cyber Partners

Sydney Leathers issued a grave warning just a few weeks ago about Anthony Weiner’s sexting habits that apparently went unheeded.

The sexting partner of the New York Congressman in his 2013 scandal, Leathers spoke out earlier this month to warn that Weiner had not given up his unfaithful ways even after getting caught up in two consecutive scandals that ruined his political career.

Weiner was a protege to New York Senator Charles Schumer and seemed to be a strong candidate to one day join the Senate himself, but saw his career fall apart in 2011 when he was caught sending sexually explicit messages and pictures to partners. He managed to build momentum toward a political comeback and was running for mayor of New York City in 2013 when he again got caught sexting with other women.

But even after getting caught twice — and somehow having wife Huma Abedin stand by his side both times — Anthony Weiner couldn’t give up the sexting habit. He was caught again this week, with the New York Post publishing pictures that Weiner sent to an unidentified woman, including one shot of Weiner in nothing but a pair of tight white boxer briefs while his 4-year-old son laid in bed next to him.

The latest sexting scandal has again affected his political likelihood, with NY1 moving to dump Weiner as a political analyst in the wake of the report.

While it may have been a shock to many that Anthony Weiner would continue sexting with other women after getting caught twice, Sydney Leathers certainly wasn’t surprised. In a column written earlier this month for Washington Babylon, the 26-year-old Leathers claimed that one woman had recently come forward saying that Weiner was sending her explicit messages and asking Leathers for advice on what to do about it.

“I am certain his behavior continues to this day because a woman who claims to be one of his current sexting partners has reached out to me for advice,” Leathers wrote in a review for a documentary the site had created about Weiner’s mayoral bid.

Sydney Leathers claimed that Weiner was a “practiced liar” who had to rehearse his apology to make it sound sincere.

“There are several points in the film where you can see how truly delusional, naïve and narcissistic Anthony is, but few are as funny as when he declares that all scandals only have a 72-hour shelf life,” Sydney wrote in her review. “Poor Anthony didn’t know I’d be making the most of it and doing multiple interviews.”

While she was sharply critical of how Anthony Weiner handled the aftermath of his scandal, Sydney Leathers also had criticism for his wife, Huma Abedin. She speculated that Abedin only remained with her husband to keep her own political career intact.

Abedin has long been Hillary Clinton’s top aide and now plays a key role in the Democratic candidate’s presidential campaign. She is likely in line for a top White House post if Clinton wins.

“I’ve read speculation that Huma only stays with Weiner because she’s Muslim, as if you have to be Muslim to stay with a cheating husband,” Leathers wrote. “Is Hillary Clinton Muslim too? No, this has nothing to do with her religion and everything to do with her ambition. She’s taking a page out of Mrs. Clinton’s handbook.”

But Huma Abedin is no longer by her husband’s side. Early on Monday, just hours after the New York Post‘s story was published and the pictures of Anthony Weiner’s sexting went viral, Abedin announced that she had separated from him and was seeking a divorce. Whether she got any direct advice or warnings from Sydney Leathers is unknown.
