Kate Gosselin Child Abuse Claims Made By Jon Gosselin’s Friend

A new book by reporter Robert Hoffman is expected to cause a lot of trouble for Kate Gosselin. The book supposedly gives proof that the reality show mom used to beat her children with a wooden spoon.

So how did Hoffman get this information? It turns out that the author of the shocking Gosselin book is a good friend of Jon’s.

Radar Online reports that Hoffman and Jon have been friends for years. The author was working for Us Weekly in 2009 and was tasked with covering the reality show couple.

According to Small Town Gosselins, Hoffman and Jon became good friends.

The website writes:

“Robert Hoffman and Jon Gosselin eventually became friends, or, in my opinion, Robert ingratiated himself to Jon. Jon gradually included Robert in his social activities, inviting him inside the fence, including him in dinners and on trips such as the one to Las Vegas for the Wet Republic pool party.”

Hoffman’s relationship with Jon doesn’t necessarily make his claims about Kate Gosselin less credible, but it does raise a few questions. Was Jon also involved with the child abuse in the Gosselin family? Is the report biased? Is Hoffman trying to settle a score for Jon?

The book claims that Kate used a wooden spoon deemed “the spanker” to hit her kids about “anything and everything.”

Hoffman claims that he has journal entries written by Kate that talk about the child abuse. Did Jon leak the journals?

What do you think about the claims about Kate Gosselin? Does it matter that Robert Hoffman and Jon Gosselin are friends?
