TVD spoilers are ahead. If you don’t want to know what to expect when the series returns to The CW, then do not continue reading.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will be fighting the creature that has taken over their bodies. They are being forced to torture and kill. Executive producer Julie Plec said to expect “gruesome executions” and that there will be a lot of dead bodies in Season 8. What else is known about The Vampire Diaries? Spoilers from Melty state that the titles of the first three episodes have been released. Based on the report, fans can learn a lot about what is coming from these episode titles.

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 premiere is titled “Hello, Brother.” This is what Damon Salvatore said to Stefan (Paul Wesley) in the first season. Does this mean that Damon and Stefan will face each other in Episode 1? Not necessarily. It could, however, indicate that Stefan discovers where Damon is.

As fans recall, in the Season 7 finale of TVD, Stefan, Caroline (Candice King), and Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) were using maps and news reports. Since Bonnie no longer has her magic, they need to use more conservative methods to find Damon and Enzo. Perhaps they will find out where they are in the season premiere.

The Vampire Diaries Season 8, Episode 2 is titled “Today Will Be Different.” This is also from the pilot episode and is something that Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) wrote in her diary. Following Dobrev’s exit from TVD, her friends write down everything that happens. That way, Elena will know everything she missed during her extended slumber. It could be referencing how Damon and Enzo are trying to fight the creature that has invaded their bodies.

The title of The Vampire Diaries Season 8, Episode 3 is “You Decided That I Was Worth Saving.” This obviously has to do with Damon and Stefan’s relationship. Over the years, the Salvatore brothers have gone through many things, with most being Damon’s fault. Their relationship is complicated, but at the end of the day, they are still family. It was teased by TV Line that Stefan Salvatore should save his brother. In an interview with TV Guide, writer Brian Young said that Stefan will be determined to save Damon, convinced that his brother is still in his body somewhere. It turns out that he is right.

“What we really wanted to do was give Damon a chance to act on Bad Damon again, but do it in a way that we can always forgive him for. Season 8 is going to be rough for Damon and Enzo because bad s**t is going on. But Stefan, always believing the best in his brother, believes Damon is still in there.”

As loyal fans may notice, all three episodes are phrases taken from the first season of TVD. Since Season 8 is the last, executive producer Julie Plec wanted to do it this way. At Comic-Con 2016, she revealed that it was a way for them to go back to the beginning. It was also stated in the interview to expect a lot of returning faces. The showrunner explained that some people fans will be saying hello to and others they will be giving their final goodbyes.
