Charlie Sheen has, for a long time, been known for his philandering and drug-fueled parties. Currently aged 51, he has had numerous girlfriends that include models and adult film stars, at times living simultaneously with them. Of course, this highly reckless lifestyle made him face some serious consequences, and just last year, he announced to the world that he was HIV positive.

The news shocked many, especially girls who had sexual relations with him but were not aware of his status. In 2011, which is about the time the Two And A Half Men actor was diagnosed with the condition, one of his girlfriends, Kacey Jordan, was reported to have attempted suicide after binging on drugs and alcohol. At the time, it was reported that officers from the Chicago Police department rushed to the Peninsula Hotel where she was staying, after getting reports of some of her disturbing tweets. The following was one of them.
“I took a bunch of pills…drank a hotel size bottle of jack… stumbled to the bathroom to weigh myself………86 lbs”
She also stated that Charlie Sheen had caused her anguish. The tweet read, “Those 16 hours i was with charlie sheen… messed me up… i can’t get that image out of my head… i think i keep trying to feel his pain.”
Although no reports indicated that her anguish had been caused by knowledge of Charlie’s shocking diagnosis, many have suspected so following Charlie’s revelation last year. That said, Charlie Sheen stated in January that he was working to help heal the world of the disease by becoming a guinea pig for trial medications yet to hit the market. One of those was a drug called PRO 140. The following is an excerpt of the report by The Sun detailing his interview with Extra.
“I just finished week eight and, as opposed to a daily cocktail of a combination of pills that have a lot of nasty side effects, this is one shot every week… I don’t have the migraines, the stomach problems… I seriously believe this is the future of treatment for HIV.”

YOUR Saturday night...?
In his endeavor to find a cure, Charlie Sheen supposedly sought the services of one Dr. Samir Chachoua, a controversial doctor who has claimed on many occasions to have found the cure for HIV. In February of this year, Charlie Sheen alleged that Dr. Sam was a liar who claimed that milk from his arthritic goat would destroy the virus. Apparently Charlie had sought his services and was advised to stop taking his HIV meds. Unfortunately, this caused Sheen’s viral load to go up. This is what he said about the doctor, as reported by the Daily Mail.
“This guy is a liar and if he comes back here to practice medicine, he should be arrested.”
That said, another popular figure with the same interest as Charlie has claimed to have developed a cure for HIV, and he is Roberto Escobar, Pablo Escobar’s brother. Roberto, 69, was released from prison in 2003 after having been jailed for 11 years, and since then, he has spent his time finding a cure for the disease. While in an interview with the Irish Times, he stated the following about his finding.
“We have found a medicine [for HIV] so that people in this world don’t have to die from that illness, and in Colombia we have more than 100 patients totally uncontaminated now, who won’t contaminate any other human being on this planet.”
Although his success has yet to be verified, it is clear that both Charlie Sheen and Pablo Escobar’s brother share the common goal of ridding the world of the deadly virus in their own different ways.
