Britney Spears: ‘I Don’t Believe In Marriage Anymore’

Britney Spears has been single for over a year now. Last summer, she ended her relationship with Charlie Ebersol. Since then, the pop princess has been busy making new music and performing at her ongoing Las Vegas residency.

Britney Spears’ interview James Corden during his most recent “Carpool Karaoke” segment is probably her most revealing interview in a long time. The segment has her fans wanting more. Although Spears, 34, looked noticeably uncomfortable in the beginning of the segment, she revealed some things that her fans didn’t even know about her. For example, Spears is making it known that she doesn’t “believe in marriage anymore.”

On Thursday, Aug. 25, the pop legend took a spin with Corden on The Late Late Show for his Carpool Karaoke segment, according to the Daily Caller. Spears and Corden sang her hit songs like “Oops I Did It Again,” “Hit Me Baby One More Time,” and “Toxic.” During the interview, Spears revealed that she has no interest in getting married again, but would love to still have more kids.

“I want more [kids],” Spears said. “I’d like to have three more.”

When Corden mentioned that she would end up having five kids, Spears added that she would like to “find the right guy first.” But, that doesn’t mean that Ms. Spears wants to walk down the aisle anytime soon.

“I think I might not ever go to men again,” she revealed. “I think ever do the whole men thing or get married. I am just done with men. I might French kiss someone, but I’m not going to marry anyone, no. I don’t believe in marriage anymore.”

Corden was clearly shocked, asking, “You’re saying that you don’t want to be with anyone for the rest of your life?”

“I might French kiss someone, but I’m not going to marry anyone, I don’t believe in marriage anymore,” Spears concluded.

As previously mentioned before, Spears’ last serious relationship was when she and TV producer Charlie Ebersol split up in June, 2015, after eight months together. Though the two seemingly had an amicable spit, it seemed like Spears is over the thought of men, or relationships in general, which is understanding.

Prior to dating Ebersol, Spears dated David Lucado. The couple split in August, 2014, after over a year of dating. Spears and Lucado started dating in March of 2013 – just two months after the singer and Jason Trawick ended their engagement, according to People. The couple were together from 2009 to 2013.

Spears was previously married to Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007 and was married to childhood friend Jason Alexander for a whopping 55 hours back in 2004, according to WhosDatedWho.com. Fans can understand why Spears would be over the thought of marriage.

The pop star doesn’t seem too lonely these days. If you check out Spears’ Instagram page, you can tell she spends most of her time with her sons, Sean Preston, 10, and Jayden James, 9.

According to an album review on The Atlantic about the singer’s ninth studio album, Glory, she sings about sex and love in a fun way.

“She’s figured out what she needs, and it’s a rejection of fairy tales about love.”

However, there is one song on Glory that hints about the need for intimacy. On “Better,” Spears sings about how great it is to hook up with someone who’s familiar with your body. According to The Atlantic’s review about Glory though, they call it an album filled with Tinder hookup anthems.

But, according to Entertainment Tonight Online, Spears has generally received positive reviews about her new album. Since Glory is a ridiculously sexy album, it’s any wonder who inspired Spears’ newfound sultriness.
