Victor Arroyo Proves He’s A ‘Big Brother’ Beast, But Is He A Sitting Duck?

Victor Arroyo is back. Again. The Big Brother 18 competitor battled his way from the jury buyback less than an hour after he was evicted from the game for the second time. Victor was the last juror standing in the wall endurance competition, according to live feed spoilers posted by Moviefone.

Still, even though this is Victor Arroyo’s third time walking into the Big Brother house, he is far from safe. Arroyo didn’t win Head of Household (that was handed to Nicole Franzel — literally — by James), so he could see himself back in the hot seat within days.

Victor’s best hope for staying in the Big Brother house may come down to the antics of his “ride or die,” Paul Abrahamian, who ticked off some HGs throughout the night. With Arroyo and Abrahamian as this season’s true power couple, they are an obvious target — the Sitting Ducks aren’t exactly sitting pretty — but at this point, Paul is the mastermind and Victor is the competition beast. Both are dangerous, but Victor has repeatedly proven that he won’t go down without a fight. Winning this week’s care package — a $5,000 bribe option — wouldn’t hurt him either.

After his second Big Brother eviction, which came courtesy of James’ indecisive swing vote, Victor got the news from host Julie Chen that he had an “unprecedented second, second chance” to get back into the game via a buyback competition that would give one of the first five jurors a key back into the house.

Victor Arroyo easily beat out fellow jurors Zakiyah Everette, Da’Vonne Rogers, Paulie Calafiore, and Bridgette Dunning after Paulie vowed that he wanted to succeed in the juror comp “more than I want to breathe.” Paulie also boasted that not only would he win the return to the game, but he would also be heading right up to the HOH bedroom.

Now Victor has his next battle. With Nicole in power, she’ll surely keep her showmance, Corey Brooks, safe. And she made a promise to Jatalie (James and his showmance, Natalie Negrotti) to keep them off the block. That leaves Victor, Paul, and Michelle Meyer as Nicole’s possible choices for nominees. Unless she breaks her word to Jatalie, that is.

Victor Arroyo has pledged to take his boy, Paul, to the Final 2 if he has the chance. Arroyo’s motto this season has been to “forgive but never forget,” but he seems to forget that Paul backstabbed him ahead of his first eviction by not picking him to play in the Power of Veto competition that could have saved him. After his first eviction, Arroyo told Entertainment Weekly that it bothered him that Paul didn’t give him the chance to win the veto and keep himself safe, but he still vowed to stand by his Sitting Duck ally.

In his HOH letter posted by CBS last week, Victor reflected on his partnership with Paul.

“I sometimes forget that I was evicted from this house,” Arroyo wrote.

“Paul and I are one heck of a team. I’m not exaggerating when I say he is my social game in this house. Paul and I have really been underdogs this whole game, knowing very little about the talks people have behind closed doors… It’s been a heck of a ride since I’ve been back and there’s surely more to come. I could not have made this up if I wanted to.”

Of course, it’s no surprise that Big Brother veterans have definite opinions on Victor Arroyo’s second bounce back from eviction. While Big Brother all-star players Janelle Pierzina and Rachel Reilly are totally Team Victor, BB8 winner Evel Dick Donato thinks Victor would be the show’s worst winner ever.
