Taylor Swift’s Star Rises Amid Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Feud

Taylor Swift’s star is on the rise, and it’s only going up from there. Although the singer-songwriter has been laying low since Kim Kardashian exposed her on Snapchat, it seems like everybody still wants to be in her squad.

According to a new report via ET Online, Taylor Swift, 26, has made her first public appearance since last month. She was photographed going to dinner on Wednesday night with YouTube star Todrick Hall. Swift was photographed wearing a neon yellow lace crop top with a matching high-waisted skirt. She finished off her NYC street style look with a black bomber jacket, a pink leather handbag, gray sandals, and bright pink lipstick.

It looks like Swift’s old 1989 style was back in full swing. Even gone was Swift’s natural curls, which she debuted last month. ET Online spoke to Hall last month, when he defended the singer amid her Kimye scandal.

“She is the sweet person I ever met. She found me on YouTube as well and has completely taken me under her wing. She’s awesome! So, if you’re not a Taylor Swift fan, then you should jump on that Taylor Swift bandwagon really fast.”

According to new reports, everyone still wants to sit with Taylor Swift at the 2016 MTV VMAs. Although the singer is not up for any nominations this year, she’s still rumored to show up. Cosmopolitan’s Megan Friedman spoke to MTV music and talent vice-president Gina Esposito, who revealed that celebrities call the shots when it comes to who they want to sit next to at the event. Apparently, Swift is the most-demanded celebrity since she has so many friends.

“She has so many good friends, and it was hard to figure out the ‘Taylor’ of it all [in past years],” Esposito revealed, “because so many people were requesting to sit by her and sit with her. She’s often really requested.”

It’s not just Swift’s friends who want to sit next to her. Esposito also revealed that the seating charts for the awards shows are dependent upon making sure that the right people are on camera to capture those perfect reaction moments. But, sitting next to Swift is a plus since she’s the center of recent drama and does awkward arm-dancing for all the world to see.

Despite the fact that social media celebrated the #KimExposesTaylorParty last month, most people are still on Taylor Swift’s side, according to BuzzFeed. A poll of registered votes collected from BuzzFeed News revealed that there are four times as many people who are on Team Taylor than they are on Team Kim.

When they were asked who they sided with on the feud, they voted:

  • 34 percent side with Taylor
  • 8 percent side with Kim and Kayne
  • 58 percent don’t know/no opinion

Apparently, social media doesn’t think the same as real life. However, most people probably don’t know about Taylor Swift’s ongoing feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, as many pointed out that they don’t know about the feud or have no opinion on it.

BuzzFeed News asked Morning Consult, a media and technology company, to poll 2,502 registered voters in the U.S. According to their findings, the margin of error is plus or minus 2 points. Here is a breakdown of the demographics.

  • Age: 30-44 25 percent
  • Age: 45-54 21 percent
  • Age: 55-64 17 percent
  • Age: 65+ 21 percent
