Has ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Been Canceled?

Will Keeping Up With the Kardashians come to an end after its currently airing 12th season?

Although a new magazine cover suggests that the series may have been canceled, fans have nothing to worry about.

According to a report by Gossip Cop on August 24, Keeping Up With the Kardashians “will be continuing for the foreseeable future,” despite the false allegations. Also, the outlet spoke to a rep for Kim Kardashian, who confirmed that the mother of two was committed to her role on the show.

While the Kardashian-Jenner family signed a deal with the E! Network in 2015 that would keep Keeping Up With the Kardashians on the air for four more years, rumors have continuously swirled regarding the possible end of the long-running reality series.

In April, 19-year-old Kylie Jenner spoke of the future of the series, claiming that while it is currently in full-swing, it can’t last forever.

“[Keeping Up With The Kardashians] has to end eventually, and I’m not going to leave until we’re done with it, but by 20 I want to have the whole of my cosmetics line out because that’s my primary focus. I definitely won’t want to be doing anything else that would make me more public,” she said during an interview with Glamour magazine, via Hollywood Life.

One month later, a Radar Online report claimed Kris Jenner was “horrified” by the dwindling ratings on the 12th season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. According to the outlet, Kris was desperate to save the allegedly sinking show and continue to cash in on her family’s fame.

At the end of May, the Radar Online source claimed Kris Jenner had enlisted her 35-year-old daughter, Kim Kardashian, to help increase viewership by upping the drama on the show. Apparently, Jenner felt at the time that the drop in ratings was the result of Kim being absent during many of the show’s scenes. Kris even reportedly baited Kim with “an extra million or two” if she would agree to appear on every episode of the future seasons of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“Kris knows that viewers are just really over and bored with all the Khloe and Lamar drama, as well as the Kylie Jenner coverage. She also knows that Kourtney cannot save it now that Scott is not an explosive asset,” the insider told Radar Online.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s relationship took center stage during the early episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 12 due to Odom’s drug overdose months prior. However, after Odom reportedly returned to drugs and alcohol after months of sobriety, he was no longer seen on the show, and fans’ interest reportedly went elsewhere.

In addition to the future seasons of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the Kardashian-Jenner family will reportedly appear in at least a couple of spinoffs as well.

At the time that the latest Kardashian-Jenner family agreement was signed, a source told Page Six, “You’ll be seeing a lot more of the Kardashian family. This is a huge deal, which will see their involvement with the network and its digital properties expand well into the future.”

As for which members of the family would be receiving their own spinoffs, that information was not revealed.
