Bella Thorne Comes Out As Bisexual After Gregg Sulkin Split

Former Disney star Bella Thorne just came out as bisexual on social media. She made a nonchalant comment in response to a fan’s tweet on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 23.

Instead of gracing the cover of a magazine or making a big announcement, Bella Thorne decided to casually address her sexuality when it came up. Thorne, 18, recently ended her relationship with British actor Gregg Sulkin, and has been reportedly single for the time being. When photos of the Shake It Up alum kissing another girl surfaced on the internet, fans have been asking Thorne if she identifies as bisexual.

One of her fans simply wrote, “are you bisexual,” along with one of the photos of her kissing an unidentified girl, to which she responded with a simple “yes.”

Bella’s message received support from thousands of her fans, including Ariel Winter who retweeted the message. According to Us Weekly, Bella has taken to social media to thank her fans for their support after she confirmed her sexuality.

“Aww thank you for all the accepting tweets from everyone,” she wrote. “I love you guys #pride.”

As to why Thorne decided to address her sexuality, some fans were speculating it’s because she recently shared a photo of herself kissing a girl on the lips on her Snapchat account, which was later deleted. But fans were quick to notice Thorne’s photos and shared screengrabs across social media.

According to E! News, Bella Pendergast also referred to the actress as her “girlfriend” in her photos posted to her Twitter account. However, it has not been confirmed if they are in fact dating.

On Monday, Aug. 15, Bella Thorne and Gregg Sulkin announced their split after dating for more than a year. In a joint statement to Us Weekly, they felt that it was best for them to go their separate ways. The pair has cited their busy work schedules as the reason behind their split.

“After much thought and soul-searching, we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship. We will always love each other and have a deep respect for one another, as we have each grown to be better people because of our time together. Our schedules made seeing each other difficult, and we decided that for now this would be best.”

After breaking the news and releasing a statement to the media, Thorne took to Twitter to clarify the comments about her split from Sulkin.

“Things just didn’t end up working the way we had hoped. But I’ll always love the bub,” she simply stated in a tweet.

Bella has insisted that she’s been laying low and focusing on her fitness after her break up, according to Fox News. She had a sudden desire to return to the gym by sharing a swimsuit photo of herself on Instagram along with the caption, “My #mondaymotivation is to get my bod back in this shape.”

Just a few days later, the starlet was sitting back in the gym. This time around, Thorne shared a photo of herself wearing a gray Victoria’s Secret sports bra with matching yoga pants. Not only did Thorne flash her incredibly taut abs, but she also showed some tongue and cleavage.

“Finally back on my #grind,” she wrote in the caption. “So happy they have a studio gym..considering I basically live at this lot!”

The Daily Mail also published the photos of Bella hitting up the gym on Thursday, Aug. 18. She was photographed in Santa Monica wearing a black and white oversized jersey opened to reveal her gray metallic sports bra. Bella paired her look with oversized black shorts and a navy blue baseball cap, which she showed off in her latest Snapchat posts.

It also looks like Thorne has also been hiking up a storm in between filming The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, which is scheduled for a 2017 release.
