‘Real Housewives’ Stars Vicki And Kelly’s Friendship: ‘Etiquette And Vicki Don’t Go Together’

Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson has learned that many of her co-stars don’t want anything to do with her. They are keeping their distance from her because they felt that she lied last year about Brooks Ayers having cancer. While she keeps denying knowing anything about his lies, many of her Real Housewives co-stars just want nothing to do with her. So when Kelly Dodd joined The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gunvalson quickly bonded with her, so she had at least one friend on the show this season. And it sounds like their friendship has grown quite a bit, as Kelly’s anger is now under evaluation by Vicki.

According to a new Bravo report, these two Real Housewives of Orange County stars are actually having fun together, and Gunvalson is really thankful for their friendship. While Kelly and Vicki were left off the guest list for Shannon Beador’s surprise party and vow renewal, it sounds like these two Real Housewives stars are just fine hanging out by themselves.

“It was great that Kelly and I went to Fig & Olive while the ladies were at Shannon’s party. I’m at the place in my life where I am FORCING myself to get out, have some laughs and most importantly to find people that don’t want to make me defensive or sad. Kelly and I have had a really nice start to a good friendship,” Gunvalson writes on her blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County, according to Bravo.

Of course, Gunvalson is referring to her horrible year last year, where she was publicly slammed for possibly lying about Brooks having cancer. While she kept denying her role in his lies, there were some stories that just weren’t matching up. Shannon Beador and Meghan King Edmonds started noticing some of these red flags, and they have been very open and honest about their lack of trust in their co-star. But shockingly, Vicki doesn’t seem to care too much. In fact, she is happy with the conclusion that Shannon was just a seasonal friend on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

“I’ve come to realize that some people will come into our lives for a reason, and some will come for a season. I’ve realized my friendship with Shannon was for a ‘season’. I wish her the best but for her not willing to move on, she was only in my life for a “season” and I’m perfectly fine with it. I am a good friend, a loyal friend and for her not to see those qualities in me, I don’t need to beg her to be my friend either,” this veteran Real Housewives star reveals on her blog about her friendship with Shannon Beador.

Even though Gunvalson and Dodd have become close friends on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, it is possible that they are taking things too far. On last night’s episode, Kelly asked Vicki if she could be her mentor to become a better person after she had flipped out on the ladies during Tamra Judge’s sushi party for Meghan King Edmonds. And while Vicki herself may have been shocked by the request, people on Twitter could not hold back their thoughts about this odd Real Housewives request.

“Vicki giving etiquette advice to Kelly is like an alcoholic giving advice on how to stay sober. Etiquette & Vicki don’t go together,” one person wrote after watching Kelly ask Gunvalson for guidance and mentorship, with another person adding, “Vicki being a mentor to Kelly is as funny as Luann being a mentor to Sonja.”

Of course, the last tweet references The Real Housewives of New York, where Luann de Lesseps took on the mentorship role for Sonja Morgan, even though Luann herself had acted like a train wreck at times.
