Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Cuddle At Zuma’s Birthday Party As Miranda Lambert Disses Blake

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani continue to delight Shefani fans with their public displays of affection, and there are rumors that fans will soon have another reason to swoon. According to recent reports, the couple may get engaged before the end of the year. However, Blake’s ex, Miranda Lambert, beat the couple to the punch by announcing her own “engagement” during a recent concert. She also threw some subtle shade at Blake by knocking his marriage proposal skills.

Before he pops the question, Blake Shelton is spending a lot of time bonding with Gwen Stefani’s three sons from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale. Her middle child, Zuma, turned eight years old on August 21, and Blake was invited to the little boy’s birthday party. While Zuma and his friends were having a blast playing on a giant shark-shaped inflatable slide and munching on candy from the birthday boy’s pinata, Gwen and Blake were making the most of their time together by kissing and cuddling on the couch. As Hollywood Life reports, Gwen documented some highlights from Zuma’s party on Snapchat, and she she also shared a few sweet photos of her snugglefest with Blake.

According to Page Six, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton also got to spend Saturday evening together. Gwen was one of the performers at the Apollo in the Hamptons: Night of Legends charity event, which was held at the East Hampton home of billionaire Ron Perelman. To wow a crowd of celebrities that included the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Jack Nicholson, Gwen decided to invite Blake onstage for a surprise performance of their duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.”

Gwen reportedly added Blake to her act at the last minute, so he had to borrow a guitar from Jon Bon Jovi. The couple’s performance impressed supermodel Christie Brinkley, who later shared an Instagram video of their duet.

While Gwen and Blake were singing about their relationship, Miranda Lambert was performing at a concert in New Jersey. As the Us Weekly reports, a smitten young fan got to meet the “Vice” singer backstage, and he asked her to marry him. However, Miranda had to inform six-year-old Sebastian that it’s going to be a long time before she makes good on her promise to walk down the aisle with him.

“I got engaged today! There’s a little 6-year-old boy here named Sebastian. He asked me to marry him. I said yes, in 25 years,” Lambert told the crowd at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

Lambert praised the way Sebastian popped the question with a pretty pink ring, and she revealed that she wasn’t as impressed with Blake Shelton’s proposal.

“Look at this beautiful ring! He got on one knee,” Lambert said. “He was such a gentleman. It may be my favorite proposal ever.”

Blake’s May 9, 2010 proposal may no longer be Miranda Lambert’s favorite proposal, but she once gushed about the way he popped the question. Miranda told People that Blake phoned her father and asked permission first, which she described as “so Southern and old-school and perfect.” According to Men’s Journal, the couple was fishing on Blake’s property in Tishomingo, Oklahoma when Blake got down on one knee. He and Miranda celebrated with Bacardi and Diet Sprite in Solo cups.

Life & Style reports that Blake Shelton plans on doing things a bit differently when he asks Gwen Stefani to marry him. An insider says that he plans on popping the question sometime around Christmas, and he wants to do it during a skiing trip in either Aspen, Colorado or Mammoth Lakes, California. He’s also going to get Gwen’s sons to help with the proposal, which won’t be a surprise; Gwen knows what Blake is planning.

“Gwen will have the boys for Christmas this year, and she very much wants them to be involved,” the insider revealed. “After all, Blake is going to be their stepfather.”
