Brandi Glanville And Eddie Cibrian’s L.A. Starter Home Sells For $635K

Brandi Glanville’s first home with her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian has finally been unloaded by the former soap star. According to TMZ, Brandi and Eddie’s Los Angeles starter home, a three bedroom, three-and-a-half bath townhouse in Toluca Lake, California, sold for $635,000, which was $100,000 less than Cibrian originally listed it for earlier this year. The 1,800-square-foot home has a rooftop patio overlooking the Hollywood Hills.

Of course, this isn’t the only home Brandi and Eddie have sold since their headline-making split. In 2010, Glanville and Cibrian sold a much larger home in Calabasas as they prepared to divorce. According to Variety, the 6,610-square-foot house with six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms was listed at a substantial loss at $2,349,000.

While the Calabasas home was definitely an upgrade, the way Brandi tells it, her ex-husband always aspired to have a much more palatial home than they ever had when they were together. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Glanville told Bravo host Andy Cohen that Eddie’s current wife, LeAnn Rimes, is basically a sugar mama. Brandi said her ex always aspired to live in a big house in a gated community. At the time Glanville made her comments, Cibrian and Rimes had just purchased an 8,642-square-foot home located in a gated community in L.A.’s Hidden Hills.

Brandi Glanville has gone on record as saying that when she and Eddie were married, they were never wealthy in the true Hollywood sense. In an interview with the Times of London, Brandi said she and her husband hobnobbed with the rich and famous, they never truly had the cash flow that their wealthy friends did.

“We lived in Los Angeles, surrounded by some of the wealthiest people in the world, but Eddie and I were never truly rich,” Brandi said.

“We were ghetto rich. We had the nice cars, the nice house and the nice jewels, but we probably had a second and a third mortgage. We were living paycheck to paycheck, with no savings.”

Brandi Glanville and Eddie Cibrian married in 2001 and split in 2009 after she found out he was having affair with Rimes, his co-star in the Lifetime movie Northern Lights. In 2012, Glanville told the New York Post she was broke after her divorce and she had no credit history at all.

“I was a 36-year-old woman who couldn’t lease a car and couldn’t lease a house,” Glanville said.

“For 13 years, my name wasn’t on one account. I am still building my credit. We were living way above our means in a 10,000-square-foot house. There wasn’t a lot to get [after the divorce] honestly.”

Brandi told the Times that she took a job on the third season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills so she could pay her rent.

“Am I getting notoriety for being an a**hole on TV? Yes,” Brandi said. “But guess what? I’ve saved X amount of dollars in the bank and will be fine without a man taking care of me. I thought to myself, ‘What have I got to lose? A husband? No. A house? No. Riches? No.'”

Brandi Glanville has come a long way since her days as a broke single mom. Glanville is no longer a full-time cast member on RHOBH, but she hosts the Unfiltered podcast and she is also the bestselling author of two tell-alls. Brandi also launched her Unfiltered Blonde Chardonnay line last year. Meanwhile, Cibrian recently landed a role on the Fox primetime drama Rosewood.
