Kelly Dodd might be getting divorced after all. The Real Housewives of Orange County star just listed her multi-million dollar mansion while rumors of her troubled marriage with Michael Dodd continue to mount. Will Kelly finally pull the plug on her marriage?
According to Radar Online, Kelly is selling her beachfront home in Orange County for $6.5 million. The mansion spans over 4,370 square feet and is being sold by Nourmand & Associates and Caldwell Banker Previews International. The mansion features four bedrooms and four full bathrooms and looks out over the Big Corona Beach.
Kelly described her favorite parts of the home in the official listing.
“My favorite aspect of the home is the rooftop deck. Imagine having a glass of wine while watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean – you won’t see anything more beautiful than that. It’s an entertainer’s dream.”
Kelly and Michael split back in 2012 and almost went through a divorce. Now, it looks like their relationship is on the rocks once again.
On the latest season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, which is Kelly’s first, she hasn’t been afraid to criticize her husband in front of the other ladies.
“He is always home, and I wish he would go away somewhere!” she said about Michael.
Of course, this isn’t the first sign of trouble for the couple. Back in 2014, Michael filed a temporary restraining order against Kelly Dodd after an alleged violent attack. Kelly was forced to attend six months of therapy and go through 10 Alcoholics Anonymous sessions before the charges were dropped and the order lifted.
Despite going through therapy, Kelly still has a drinking problem. In fact, Michael accused his reality star wife of partying too much and not fulfilling her responsibilities as a mother.
“Since moving to Orange County, Petitioner has had the tendency to leave our daughter with Petitioner’s mother or with babysitters in order to allow her plenty of opportunities to go out on dates, to bars, or have girls nights with her friends,” Michael shared in court.
Kelly has also accused Michael of being a thief.
“Respondent searched through my personal belongings and removed two watches (one a Cartier and another a Breitling) from the residence that are my separate property,” Kelly said in her 2012 court documents.
According to Radar Online, Kelly ultimately decided to stay with Michael because she didn’t want to go through the hardships of breaking up her family.
“It was a nightmare,” she stated about the divorce. “It made me realize it was easier being with him and having my family together than being divorced.”
Kelly went on to admit that her marriage isn’t always great. Is this a sign that her marriage is on the rocks?
“We don’t have a perfect marriage at all, but I’m going to suck it up like my parents did,” she said.
Although Kelly and Michael have a lot of problems, Romper is reporting that they are still together. Kelly has been actively posting pictures of her husband on social media, and it looks like she is more than happy in her marriage.
Michael recently retired from his top position at LeapFrog and currently spends most of his time with family at home. While Michael’s controlling ways led to their splitting 2012, Bravo TV is reporting that he is a changed man.
“Since then, he doesn’t behave that way anymore because he knows I’ll bounce if he does,” Kelly explained. “I was describing him [to explain] the reasons why I dissolved the marriage.”
Meanwhile, Michael is not the only RHOC cast member that Kelly Dodd is clashing with.
Kelly truly believes that Shannon Beador set her up at her disastrous 70s party. One of Shannon’s guests, Nina, made a nasty claim that was overheard by Meghan King Edmonds.
“I heard her. She said you suck d**k to pay your bills,” Edmonds repeated of Nina’s claims.
“Could you imagine – you’re a mother and you’ve worked your whole life, hard, and you’ve never done anything wrong and some girl is over there calling you a prostitute?” Dodd wondered. “It’s disgusting a mother could say such horrible things about somebody they don’t even know.”
But fueled by alcohol, Kelly was just getting started. As the ladies tried to tell her just to ignore Nina’s claims if they are untrue, Kelly laid into Beador and Tamra Judge, calling them a “c**t” and a “dumb f**k” respectively.
The vile names led to Heather Dubrow stepping in and trying to get Kelly to leave.
“Kelly, this is not okay,” she told her. “I think that you are probably a very good person at heart. This behavior is not acceptable. Leave.”
When Dodd refused to leave, Dubrow did instead.
“I’m so disgusted by what’s going on that I feel like I’m choking,” she told viewers. “I feel suffocated – I have to get out.”
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County air Monday nights on Bravo.
