Miranda Lambert Announces She’s Engaged, But Not To Boyfriend Anderson East

Miranda Lambert is engaged, but unfortunately for boyfriend Anderson East, he isn’t the lucky guy. Over the weekend, during a concert in New Jersey, Miranda Lambert accepted the proposal of a young fan named Sebastian.

Before taking the stage on Saturday night, Miranda Lambert was surprised by the 6-year-old fan who got down on one knee and presented the 32-year-old country star with a pretty pink ring.

“I said YES! But he has to wait 25 years. This sweet boy Sebastian is a little gentleman,” Miranda Lambert wrote on Instagram with two photos after the proposal.

During her concert, Miranda Lambert gave a shout out to her new fiancé.

“I got engaged today. There’s a little 6-year-old boy somewhere here named Sebastian. He asked me to marry him and I said, ‘Yes, in 25 years,'” Miranda Lambert told the crowd during her show, according to a report by People Magazine on August 21. “When he came to my meet and greet, he got down on one knee and he was such a gentleman. It may be my favorite proposal ever … ‘Cause girls, we deserve that. We deserve that.'”

Another fan, Sarah Goddard, told the magazine that she was approached by Sebastian after he noticed her “meet-and-greet” sticker and asked her to propose to Miranda Lambert for him.

“I told his mom he could come in with me ‘as my son’ so he could propose to [Miranda Lambert] himself,” Goddard explained. “He bought the ring himself … his mom said he’s been holding on to it since Christmas, waiting for an opportunity to propose to Miranda.”

Miranda Lambert has been dating Anderson East, an R&B singer from Alabama, since the end of last year, months after she split from former husband Blake Shelton. However, at this point, they don’t appear to have any plans to make their relationship official with a marriage. Instead, they continue to enjoy their time together as Miranda Lambert tends to her ongoing tour duties.

For the past several weeks, Miranda Lambert has been serving as the opening act for Kenny Chesney’s “Spread the Love Tour” as she travels the country on her own tour, the “Keeper of the Flame Tour.”

Following a January confirmation of their relationship on Instagram, Miranda Lambert and Anderson East were seen singing “My Girl” together at one of his shows. Then, months later, they made their red carpet debut at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Shelton was also seen attending the show.

Anderson East has a “crazy connection” with Miranda Lambert, a source told E! News at the time. “Whenever they are together they act like two free spirits… Miranda adores Anderson. They understand each other. Anderson has given Miranda this confidence she hasn’t felt in some time. They are very supportive with each other and their careers.”

The E! News source went on to reveal that Miranda Lambert and Anderson East were “serious” about one another and had already met both sides of their families.

Although Miranda Lambert and Anderson East have kept their romance quite private, aside from their occasional photos on Instagram, the source said they seem like they are in a “great place” as they continue to spend time together.

Miranda Lambert and Anderson East are rarely seen together in public but weeks ago, Lambert shared a special photo of herself and her boyfriend on Instagram in honor of his birthday.
