‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Sophie Turner Teases Sansa Stark’s ‘Very Strange’ End

Now that Game of Thrones fans are beginning to accept the idea that the series will soon be coming to an end, their attention is turning toward that inevitable end and what that will mean for their favorite characters. Sophie Turner counts herself among those Game of Thrones fans and she’s already been toying around with ideas of how she would like for Sansa Stark to end up. Sharing those ideas, Turner also comments on that wolf tattoo, which has already stirred up a multitude of Game of Thrones conspiracy theories, but Sophie’s remarks do nothing to support those Game of Thrones theories.

Game Of Thrones Star Sophie Turner On Sansa Stark’s End

Fans are devastated to know Game of Thrones will be ending, but there may be no one more saddened by this than Sansa Stark herself. Sophie Turner, who plays the eldest Stark daughter, told Variety that the actors had always known the series would last through seven or eight seasons at the most, but that hasn’t made the reality of it any less sad. In speaking of the end of Game of Thrones, Turner says she’s concerned about her future as an actress, but she’s also upset that she won’t be seeing her co-stars every day. Turner says she’s come to think of many of the Game of Thrones cast and crew as an extended family.

“When I finish this I don’t actually know what’s going to happen,” said the Game of Thrones star. “I might slip into a deep, deep depression because I won’t know what to do with myself. It’s going to be very strange. I feel people are going to miss it dearly.”

As for Sansa Stark, Sophie says she doesn’t really know how her character will end up. She adds that the last scenes with Sansa have left her future open, meaning all bets are off for Ned Stark’s oldest girl.

“I actually don’t know because of the way last season left off. There are so many options,” Sophie teased. “She could run with Littlefinger and become a villain and sadistic. Or she could also team up with her brother Jon.”

Recognizing that Game of Thrones, following George R.R. Martin’s books upon which the series is based, has a habit of killing off core characters in the most gruesome ways, Turner suggests that, perhaps, Sansa Stark will die a slow and agonizing death. Sophie muses that perhaps her death will be the very last scene in the last episode of Game of Thrones. That’s certainly one way to ensure her death scene stands out among the rest of the Game of Thrones deaths.

Sophie Turner Shares The Truth Behind Her Dire Wolf Tattoo

Recently, Sophie Turner shared a picture of herself in which it seemed that her arm was inked up with a series of tattoos with one such piece of inked artwork resembling the Dire Wolf of Game of Thrones. As Entertainment Weekly discovered in a talk with Turner, fan theories about this tattoo are way off base. The wolf, like the other markings on Sophie’s skin, are temporary tattoos for yet another project, the Eric England drama, Huntsville.

Huntsville centers around the awkward love affair between Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story) and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner which becomes the center of attention in a sleepy Florida hamlet. In the film, Turner plays a newly enrolled high school student, suggesting that the love affair may be as illegal as it is inappropriate.

Jack Kilmer of The Nice Guys (2016) and The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015) also stars in Huntsville.

Game of Thrones is set for a June, 2017, return on HBO.
